Don't Go Away- Oasis

"I don't want to be there when you come around, I don't want to be there when you hit the ground so don't go away...cause I need more time, I need more time just to make things right."

With caution, I take a lunge towards the edge of the roof, my feet are tight under the sandy brick walls. I feel the straps of my heel giving in and briskly sway my arms to hold onto the water pipes. I hear a snap and let out a breath, my eyes closing with fear.

Only I would wear heels to climb the side of a Fraternity house.

"You're doing great Sam!" I hear a laugh from behind me and roll my eyes instantly. I huff and continue what I started, it's colder up here and each time my feet miss a brick or my grip falters on the plastic pipes, my breath hitches in my throat.

"Sam, if this is too much for you I can climb up there and get you down...If you're too afraid and all" He shouts again, and though my back is facing towards him, I know he's got his trademark smirk on his face. If he thinks his words frighten me he's wrong, all they do is motivate. He wants me to look down, to forfeit but for once, I'm not going to budge.

Clenching my jaw I continue this routine, the only difference is thankfully at this height his childish and crude remarks blend in with the wind and I am greeted with the peaceful silence I know will get me through this. Then I realise I can no longer see as well as I could a few moments ago, the lamp posts by the street are no longer helping me see the bricks on the Beta Delta Xi fraternity house. Panicking, I close my eyes.

Then I hear incoherent mumbling and look towards the direction it's coming from. A window is cracked open on the second floor and I climb towards it. I perch my lanky body over the window sill and fall directly into a filled bathtub.

Great.

Cursing under my breath I try and search for some light, the only issue is I'm rummaging through every item in the bathroom trying to find a switch making a hell of a lot of noise. Finally finding a switch I rapidly turn it on. Looking at my soaked body in the mirror I smile knowing I am so close to proving the annoying guy outside wrong.

Opening the door silently I trudge through the cold marble floors of the most flawless fraternity house in all of Dallas. Finding the room I know as Chad Andrews' and Phillip Molder's I tiptoe in. They're luckily sound asleep as I lurk in the darkness searching for their drawers. Starting from bottom to top, the first drawer I find contains a large collection of vintage Playboy magazines from the 1990s, strawberry lube and a years supply of condoms. I heard Phillip Molder re-uses his condoms because that's just how often he has sex. Yeah totally gross.
