*This is about death and you may find it a bit emotional. Please don't read it if it's a sensitive topic to you, thank you*

May all souls rest in peace.

Laughs, smiles , jokes , habits; everything a person does fades away in a second. A single second is enough to change a person from a lovely soul to just.. a body.

The word body makes us cringe in devastation when it's referred to a person, specially if you used to know that person. "Used to". We start to switch the present tense to a past whenever we talk about that person to clarify and remind our minds that he/she doesn't belong in our present.

It's horrible when you think about a person who was just talking with you a weak/month/year ago but you just can't reach that person anymore. Maybe a mistake , an accident or a terminal disease has taken away that soul you've been so close to. Even if you weren't that close , you still miss the dead person and wish you were closer to him/her.

Worst part is getting flashbacks of some good memories of a soul that used to be here then remembering that no more memories can be added to that part of your memory that holds that person's name and face.

I believe we don't forget dead people though. We just get distracted by life's issues for some time but then we get those moments when we remember these amazing people and no matter how long they've been away, we still get so emotional about them. At the end of the day, we all mentally send them the same message Vin diesel is sending to Paul Walker , "it's been a long day without you, my friend and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again."

Never take people for granted because it's terrifying how fast you can lose the closest people to your heart. All what you enjoy doing with them might not be the same anymore. All those nights they listened to you when you were down may be gone forever. It's painful enough that it makes you think about dying instead of them because at least you won't feel that pain of loss.

It can be the other way around, too. Have you ever thought about the day of your death ? What will happen? Who will be affected ? But most importantly , where are you going to be and what will you feel?

Whenever I think about a dead person, I think about how they are feeling and what's going on in their world. Whatever the religion you believe in , nobody can accurately describe what happens to a dead person , nobody knows what people feel when they're dead or what exactly happens to the soul when it's separated from the body. Nobody actually knows whether there's a connection between the body and soul after death or not.

Dead people know a lot of stuff we're totally oblivious to, they know the answers to all these things but we don't. One day , we'll all know but I can't stand thinking about my day, it scars me to death (how ironic!).
