Hello this part was highly recommended since a lot of you weren't really happy about the ending. I have to warn you this doesn't replace the original ending. They way it was planned is written in the first part. You can take this as some kind of an imagination. I still hope you'll like it.

With love, T.

What if...

What if Harry simply couldn't give Louis' love up. What if Harry couldn't let go and not hate himself. What if he thought, despite all his beliefs, Louis was still the one he wanted to fight for. What if Louis was too confused and too stunned with Harry's sudden presence. What if Louis still loved him?

It was the day of Louis' wedding, he was nervous and excited and scared. Scared so much his bones trembled. Scared to talk because his voice always quivered on the name. On his name. On Harry's name. The first thing that crossed his mind in the morning. He was going to see him again. His beautiful eyes, his soft features, he'd hear his raspy voice and smell his exotic scent. He would be around Harry and his head was spinning because of the feeling that was left hanging in the air since Harry had left to chase his dreams, since he had forgotten his happiness behind and crying alone in a small apartment in London. Since he had left the only thing he could call a home, which wasn't really a building. Louis had never blamed him, yet he knew would never go, he was sure he would never go for his dreams if it meant losing something as precious as the little ball of curly sunshine he used to call his. The boy who had always been his everything, the only person he really needed in his future. And then he was gone. Simple as that. It was just a blink of an eye between the day he had told him about leaving and the day he kissed him on the airport. In the farthest corner in his heart, he had always missed him. Even after the years with his soon-to-be husband, he had always missed Harry's touch, his annoying kind of an adorable humour, his big and strong hands in which he felt safe. Even though he loved Tom, he was never able to love him with all of his heart, because a part of it still belonged to Harry and Louis knew it. He knew and it had always scared him a little to know that he would never be complete again, not without the person who had left. It was agonizing in the beginning and then Louis learnt to live with the feeling, he learnt to bear the emptiness he would occasionally feel when he heard something that reminded him of his first love. There surely were the times he wanted to forget, but the memories were the most precious possession he had ever owned and he couldn't afford losing them. So he lived and loved, not fully, but contently and for a while it was enough.

Then Harry came back.

He told him he still loved him.

Louis told him about his fiancé.

And Harry... Harry was determined to fight.

Since then, Louis couldn't get the look on Harry's face out of his mind. The hurt mixed with love and determination, clouded by a veil of regret. It haunted him like a ghost of a foggy future.

After all it was enough for him to question his every decision, because as the time flies, memories wash out and what is left is only the feeling they brought together like a tidal wave. After that time it only seems like a harmless stream in the mountains. Bright and clean. Natural. Exciting and boring in the same particular way. Although, it was always kind of difficult to recognize which part was important, which was real, when everything about what he felt towards Harry was confusing.

Louis was sure he remembered Harry in the purest details. He saw him in his dreams, he could tell where his birthmarks were, he could describe the shape of his nose and every little wrinkle on his lips. He could hear the sound of his voice if he wanted to. He could remember the smell of his cologne. He thought he still knew him.
