Lizzie's POV

Today I am at home. Im crying my eyes out. John carried me back to my house wich by the way is only three, four houses down.

That's not why I'm crying. M-My mom was at her hair salon and walked out to hear gunshots as the store was bieng robbed. My mom saw someone get shot and ran to help as she is so kind. Seconds later she was shot in the heart. My dad is a mess.

I hear my phone buzz about three times as I rewatch what happened in the news.

I look at my phone and it's john.

*MSG start*

J-I saw the news

J-I'm so sorry

J- if you want I can come over.

L- s-sure but I'm a mess

J- I don't care you need your friends in calling paige,Rachel and drake.

L- O-Ok

J-I will be there in five minutes

L- Ok but you really don't have to do this

J- I'll do anything to see a smile on your face.

*MSG end*

John is always so sweet. I better go tell my dad someone is coming over.

I walk into his room. I see a fight I've never seen before he had at least ten, twenty bottles of beer empty on his bed.

"D-Dad"

"Y-yeah" he says crying and slurring his words

"Some friends are coming over" after I said that I saw him getting mad.

He was walking towards me. He yelled ."YOUR MOTHER JUST DIED AND YOU THINK IT'S OK SO YOU INVITE YOUR FRIENDS OVER BECAUSE YOUR SO SELFISH" he yelled and he slapped me. He took off his belt and started hitting me and beating me. I felt blood on my forhead and everything went black.

John's PIC

I walk to lizzie's front door and ring the doorbell and there is no awnser. I get the spare key that she hides under the flowerpot with the two lilies. I unlock the door to hear screams and cries. Then no noise at all. I run through the house.

"LIZZIE!? LIZZIE!?"

No awnser. The only place to check is her parents room. She is unconscious on the floor and her dad is holding a belt. His back is to me and I knock him out. I need to get my liz out of here.
I shake her and she stirs. She finally is conscious. I get her up and she tells me what happened as she cries in my shoulder. I tell her to pack everything she can.

I have to text Paige and rachel. They are lizzie's best friends and they share a house together. I need to ask them if lizzie can stay there. Her father is a maniac.

Lizzie walks down the stairs wih boxes and suitcases and I help her. She says she has to do something before we go and she goes off to do whatever it is.

*MSG START*

J-I need your help

P- why .....does it have something to do with liz.

J- yes and it's urgent.

P- what is it

J- liz's dad went psycho since her mom died and started drinking and beating her. I found her unconscious and knocked out her dad and told her to pack. She cannot stay here can she stay at you and Rachel's house?

P-say no more . Yes I don't want my best friend to die

J- thank you so much

*MSG END*

Now to keep Liz safe.
