Chapter 3: Love Train Is Now Departing

Storm's POV:
"Well just make sure you actually don't hit someone up, okay Gale?" I whispered to Gale as we waited for the train to come. Gale, Nova, Nash, and Reiki are going on a mission for something that I didn't care to listen to. It's not a huge mission but it definitely is one of the longer ones. A week. Man, Rosemary is gonna be a wreck. A whole week without her brother!? After what happened just last night, I can't imagine. She might die...just kidding!! I will be there for her if she needs someone. I don't mind. Rose is a lot of fun to be around and she is nice in general. Anyway the train is coming. Hey by the way, I hope Nash and Reiki hit it off while they have time together. Maybe not actually hit "it", just become a thing. They are perfect for each other. Just like me and Luna. Here she comes. The girl who doesn't know...how much I want her. Her perfect pink hair that I just want to run my hand through. Her perfectly shaped lips that I really want to kiss all day. Her perfectly shaped hand that would fit mine so right...but it will never happen. She is my best friend and she would never accept me as that.

"Uh...Storm. Why are you looking at me like that?" Luna asked me crossing her arms. I must've been staring. Crap! I've got to stop that.

'Okay,' I thought. 'Just make something up. Maybe say she had something in her teeth or um...oh...I got it!'

"I was looking at that thing on your face. Oh wait, it's just you." I sneered at her. Hopefully I pulled it off.

"Prick. That's rude considering your face is worse." She laughed and punched me playfully on the arm. "C'mon, I want to see my brother get onto the train with Reiki. Maybe he will "accidentally" walk by him and say that he didn't realize it." Luna said to me as she grabbed my hand and we ran. I couldn't help myself but smile. Maybe it's better that she doesn't know so that our friendship won't be in any risk. She might not know but I can still like her right?

So Rosemary gave Reiki one last hug then he headed on the train. My brother, Rin, stood right by her and said 'Are you gonna be okay?' then she shook her head and smiled. Rin started blushing like crazy!! Man, if he ever wants her then he needs to stop acting like a doofus and just tell her. (Don't you say anything...I know I should probably do the same but this isn't about me right now).

"Hey Nash, you wanna share a car?" Reiki asked Nash as they entered the train.

"U-uh...m-me!?" Nash stammered but eventually came out. "O-okay Reiki." He was blushing so much he had the same color as Rosemary's hair! Luna looked at her brother and winked and then they left. Just like that. Gale, Nova, Reiki, Nash. Our onee-chan and nii-chans. I glanced at Rose and I got confused. You would think that she would be proud that she is finally gonna prove herself to everyone that she doesn't need her family to always protect her. Instead, her face was pale as a sheet and while everyone else broke into groups she shook her head and walked off. Alone. Clearly, I wasn't the only who noticed. Rin did too. We exchanged glances and a silent agreement passed. He would go and see.

"Hey ice princess, you coming back to the guild? It's getting late and we're starving." Luna yelled to me as she started walking. I stared at her, tempting to go just to be around her but I shook my head no and they kept going. Well...everyone except Rin but I can't blame him. These past few days have been...well, and excuse my language, fucking off. Rose NEVER acts this way. So we followed her...

That was when I realized why she was acting so different.
