TWO KILOMETERS FROM DOWNED FACILITY

10:50 A.M.

The dropship was closing in. The troops were off the seats, ready to pour out.

"Where's the damn beacon?" Mettaton had said, complaining on how he couldn't see through all the fog.

The planet had a harsh environment: constant rainstorms, heavy fog and the cold weather made it hard to even survive two days without heat.

FIFTY METERS FROM DOWNED FACILITY
11:56 A.M.

The dropship was preparing to land in front of the entrance.

"Ten seconds, people! Look sharp!" Undyne said, standing by the door.

All her troops had their guns out, including the two recruits.

"Man, Chara, I got a bad feeling about this." Frisk whispered. "You always say that." Chara replied.

"Alright, we get back without you, I'll call your folks." Frisk said sarcastically.

"If I had one." Chara said.

The dropship had landed. The door opened. "Let's move it people! Move it out!" Undyne ordered, allowing the flamethrower units like Muffet and Papyrus to go first, followed by the Smart Gun, then the infantry. Lt. Asgore stayed inside along with Toriel, tracking the squad with their helmet cameras.

"First squad, move up. Second squad, you got the rear." Asgore said.

Undyne snapped her fingers, signalling Papyrus, Sans, Alphys and Frisk to move up. The second squad, composed of Chara, Doggo, Muffet and two other Marines, instantly moved to their rear.

Undyne and the rest of the First Squad moved up to the Southern Blast Doors. "Asriel, run a bypass on this thing." Undyne ordered, trying to open the door using the console nearby.

Asriel grabbed his small bag, pulling out two wires and attached it to the console's insides, and proceeding to type on a small laptop. Soon, the door slowly opened.

The interior of the facility was full of tight hallways and intersections. The rooms were connected to each other, and the ruined barricades the researchers had set up made it far more claustrophobic.

"Blocked the doors and stairs with heavy equipment. There's explosives damage, probably seismic survey charges." Undyne commented.

"Last stand right there." Doggo commented.
"How the hell do you even see this?"
"Don't ask."

"Second squad, take the upper level, I want First Squad to take the ground levels." Asgore said, tracking their movements.

"You heard him." Chara said, taking the squad inside then moving upstairs.

"Asriel, Chara, use your motion trackers."

The two pulled out their motion trackers and turned it on. The tracker showed no movement.

"Alright, split up. Search by twos." Undyne said, splitting the squad at an intersection.

Upstairs, Chara had spotted a hole in the ground. "Hey, uh, you guys seeing this?" they said, inspecting the hole. "It looks melted."

"Form of a blood splatter. Whatever it is, looks like they bagged a guy here." Doggo inspected.

"Hell, if you like that, then you're gonna love this." Asriel said, finding a large melted hole in the floor. "Christ, that's a mess." he said, touching the edges.

Frisk inspected the dust swept across the floor, along with bullet holes on the walls. "This is definitely monster dust, and that's small arms fire over there."
