The Chronicles Of Pyrothrax

The Beginning

"RUN" screamed my father. As I looked behind me I see this person surrounded by water in a tornado shape.

I started running for my life but it was to late, a pillar of water erupted from beneath me and I woke up.

I stayed in bed thinking about that nightmare. I am so tired of having so many different nightmares it's not even funny. As I started to get up I noticed that I am drenched in sweat. "Nothing new there" I murmured. I got up and walk towards the window and looked outside. I saw a lot of people walking around minding their own business. Also there were a few kids levitating rocks around them and some making fire come out of their fingertips.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention. Our world is a place full of people and creatures that have special abilities. For the people we are divided in races: Elves, Dwarves, Vampires, Mermaids, Element controllers, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Witches, Wizards, demigods (Children of the gods). In fact we even got those special cases of mix-bloods or halfbreeds. And also we are ruled by gods... Yeah you heard me, gods as in Olympians (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, etc.). Now for creatures we have: Cyclops, Centaurs, Nyads, Dryads, Harpies, Dragons and the beasts ( Cows, Horses, Fish, Dogs, etc.)

Let me tell you a brief history of our races. If you look at our ancestry you would actually be impressed that our ancestors are the one and only gods.

For example the ancestors of vampires would be Aphrodite, Ares and Hermes that's why their powers are just concentrated in seduction, strength and speed.

The dwarves comes from Hermes, Ares and Hephaestus that's why they are strong, very sneaky and are excellent smiths.

The werewolves are descendants from Pan, Hermes and Ares. That's where they got their wolf transformation, the speed, and the strength.

Now the shapeshifters are completely different they are direct descendants from Gaia and Pan, that's where their shapeshifting abilities comes from.

The mermaids seduction and telepathy came directly from Aphrodite and Poseidon.

The Elve's strength and beauty comes from Ares and Aphrodite though some people say that they are incredibly fast so that came from Hermes but no one really knows for sure.

The Witches and Wizards magic came directly from Hecate, she would go directly to the person she seems worthy of her powers, and they would learn from her the spells and how to control it.

The Dragons are the oldest race in this world. They were created by Zeus, Ares, Hephaestus, Hecate, and Athena. The wings were created by Zeus, their strength by Ares, their ability to breath flames by Hephaestus, their ability to use magic (though limited) by Hecate and their vast intelligence by Athena.

The elements controllers are actually an experiment. Thanks to those experiments these people gained the ability to control the four elements and also they are able to pass on this ability to the next generation.

And last but not least the mix-blood which can variate depending on their parents. The mix-bloods are unpredictable because either three things could happen to them: 1. They get a mix of both it's parents powers though it comes with limitations. 2. They could get either one of it's mother's power or it's father's. 3. The child is born powerless because the two powers couldn't coexist together and they get neutralized. Also for some reason mix-bloods can't pass on it's powers to the next generation, don't ask me I'm no expert in genetics.

Oh just in case I didn't say this before I am a mix blood. My mother is an element controller and my father is a shapeshifter.

I started to get dressed when I heard my mom calling me "Pyrothrax you have a visitor"

"Coming mom!" I yelled back.

As I left my room I had no clue that my life was about to change.
