Jeniqua pulled up to the Sunny Laundromat. It had several boards on the windows from previous break-ins, and you could tell that not very many washing machines worked. She hopped out of her car, her 7-inch heels stabbing the hot, cracked concrete of the parking lot. She walked up to the front door, pulling on the peeling handle. A bell went off to signal her arrival, but it looked like no one was there. Jeniqua slowly walked inside, observing the trash bags littering the floor, and the strong smell of cheap, crappy cleaner fluid. 'Maybe the signal was wrong,' Jeniqua thought.
But then she heard the laugh, a high-pitched voice coming from an aroused female. Jeniqua turned her head to where the sound was coming from- a storage closet in the back of the area. Her heels made a soft click as she approached the door. She could hear more noises now. "Ooh! Yeah! Mm! Yes..oh, yes!" The female shrieked, and this was followed by several thumping sounds, and the voice of a male harmoinizing in several moans.
Could that be.... Lafwayfway?
"Oh, Fwayfway, gurl, you so damn hot," the male voice groaned.
Jeniqua went cold. "What the hell!" she screamed, pounding open the door. There was Lafwayfway, her shirt off and her bra straps falling down her shoulders. A busty Mexican guy was hovering over her, his pants hanging low on his hips and his chest bare. Jeniqua gaped at the scene, then growled at Lafwayfway. "You little slut," she said. "Come on, we have a party to go to."
"But Janiqua, it isn't what it seems-" Lafwayfway began.
"Just shut up, you hoe bag. Get out." The Mexican guy slowly got off of Lafwayfway, obviously confused as to what was going on. Fway blew a kiss to the guy as she stumbled out the door, pulling her top back on in a dizzy state. "Bye boo, see ya around," she cooed. Jeniqua groaned, irritated. "Let's go," She ordered, and threw Lafwayfway into the passenger seat of her car.
"I'm sorry." Said Fwafway after a few miles in the car. Jeniqua rolled down the window to let some air in but she didn't answer for a moment.
"You can't just do that Fwafway. I understand you want a man but that guy was a senior. If word got out that you and Oboma were having some kind of affair, it would totally ruin our status. He's like so very not on the list of hotties. Like he's hot but not really. Find someone your age."
"There ain't no men in our grade but-" Fwayfway gulped and finished the sentece, "Sugar, and he's with you."
"MassaJ is into you girl and he's very nice lookin.'" Jeniqua glanced over at her at the stop light.
"Well we didn't do anthing terrible or yogochi, we was just havin' a bit o' fun." Said Fwayfway trying to change the subject.
"If you want fun you should be at the party! We've been drinking all the Kool-Aid that they managed to get and all the Caprisuns, I mean like Yoko threw up. And, girl, they brought fried chicken. MassaJ knows how to party, I'm tellin' ya!" Jeniqua looked at her friend concernedly. She could tell Fwayfway was trying to avoid talking about MassaJ. "I mean, like, was there something going on between you two or something?" Fwafway turned on the car radio. "Hey, fuixzy little biatch. You gotta tell me if there is somethin up?. I'm there for you."
"I just don't like it how everyone ships me and MassaJ. Like what's with dat gurl? I mean like he was hot once but he was like all fart ugly."
"He is not." Said Jeniqua defensively.
"Then you should go out with him." Fwayfway thought she might've gone too far on this one. They pulled up to MassaJ's house. Jeniqua parked the car and got out without a word to her Fwayfway. Fwayfway sat there for a moment wondering if she could bare to go inside and witness Jeniqua and Sugar together. Her heart hurt like she was going to threw up when she saw them so close. She didn't know why she had called Oboma in the first place, he was nice in a nerdy-taco way but really he just liked her for he fuixzy-ness. And she knew he nor anyone else could replace the whole that seeing Sugar in a relationship made in her.
Sugar had been in their crowd since he had come to the school. They had always texted eachother and they had all gone to the same parties and ate at the same table and Fwayfway didn't only like his because of how he looked, he was stunning, he was also nice and gentlemanly in a fuixzy sort of way. He was flirty and comfortable with himself and she had always liked that.
The music from the inside was loud. Fwafway got up, she couldn't resist the promise of Caprisuns but she knew if she drank too many she might get a sugar rush and then who knew what she might get up to in hr love lorn state. She slowly walked up to the house. And was about to open the door when Suagr opened it form the other side. For a moment they looked at eachother.
"Hi, Lawfwayfway."
"Hi Sugar."
"Come on in." Fwayfway's heart pounded, he stood to the side holding the door for her. But the doorway was narrow and as she passed by him her arm brushed his chest. Fwayfway shivered involuntarily.
"You okay?" Fwayfway tried to hide her blush.
"Yeah." Fwafway wondered offhand why he had been about to go out when she got there, or had he been waiting for her? She wondered if something had happened, Sugar wasn't with Jeniqua even though she had just come in.
Then they came into the main living room. Sugar hit the wall. Fwafway saw something in the center of the dance floor that gave her pause. She wondered if she was dreaming or if this was even possible. Word.
