I felt like I had my back broken piece by piece, a feeling indicating the end of summer and the start of high school. I wasn't that bothered with school, the only thing I don't like about high school is the gossip. Books and homework were fine for me.
"Apollo! You better move your ass here right now!" Athena screamed from outside the room, my body not helping me get up with all the cracks every time I moved a muscle. I groan loudly and there's a loud thud as the hand of my oldest sister collides with the room's door.
"I'm going, I'm going!" I screamed as her hand collided with the door again. My feet touch the cold ground and I shiver, pulling the covers closer to my shoulders. After some more time, having stretched and looked at the disheveled boy in the mirror already, I walked out of the room. I walk past Artemis's room, the door widely opened and she snorts loudly at my Snoopy pajamas.
"What a nice pair of shoes." I look down at the white bunny slippers and feel my neck get hot, I quickly give her a glare and walk down the stairs of the small apartment, surprised to find Athena outside the bathroom, looking at me with a bored face.
"The bathroom's available." She makes a small surprised sound as I hug her. I feel fingers scratching the back of my scalp and I sigh before moving away, giving her a last grin before entering the bathroom.
I swear to Zeus that if Hercules stopped the tank of heat I'm going to shoot an arrow at his head, I turn the shower off with a pout, shivering at the cold drops on my shoulders. Most of my showers took 7 to 8 minutes but today, thanks to one of the gods, I showered for 2 minutes. I scratch my back indignantly and huff in annoyance. As I walk to my room in a towel I ignore Artemis's giggles from her room, she probably was watching one of the Mortal's YouTube video. Not that I cared, really.
As I threw on a grey sweater, I finally felt the warm feeling I was looking forward to since I woke up, heat. I quickly dashed out of my room when I wore my blue jeans and white vans, worried that I was taking too long. I walked past the living room, opening a door at the end of the hallway. The smell of whipped cream hit my nose like a sweet storm and a small smile curved up my lips.
"Oh! Good morning Apollo!" I look at Aphrodite, who smiled brightly at me from the cashier and now was one of times I noticed why she was such a loved Goddess.
"Good morning Dite!" I took a cupcake out of her right hand and took a bite out of it, smiling when my sister didn't scold me and took another customer's order. I sit down on one of the tables waiting for Artemis, she was probably now doing her makeup and the fact that I had to wait another 10 minutes made me grab another cupcake grudgingly.
I look back at Aphrodite now attending another customer and smile at myself. How could a 34 old woman look so young? I admired her for that, already with a baby and all she still looks like my age. She really did look happy with her relationship with Ares, and now looking back to her expressions when she was with her ex-husband made me sad.
My eyes divert to Athena as she walks inside the room, mumbling something to Dite, who nods and walks to the back of the bakery, Athena taking her place on the cashier.
Athena was 40 years old, and although you saw her purple hair and piercings, she had the aura of a mother just as Aphrodite, although she didn't have a kid or a husband. I frown at the happy smile on her face, wondering if she ever wanted a relationship, but she always denied the offer, saying that being single was the best decision on her life.
I was awoke of my little bubble as someone sat down in front of me. I look at Pan with wide eyes, "You scared me dumbass!" He laughs loudly, gaining attention from the customers and Athena glares daggers at him, her eyes turning purple for a brief second before turning back to their dark shade of black. Pan smiled sheepishly at her and waved.
