*2 weeks*
We pull into the clinic.
"You ready?" I ask him.
"As I will ever be." He answers.
Jade and Harry pull in beside us. We all go in together. We go to the desk and sign in. We wait for what seems like fourth eternities and are finally called back.
The clinic worker is Liam, my half sister's boyfriend.
"So, I am sure you know how this works."
We all nod. He takes out one swab and swabs Joshua's little mouth. He repeats the process for Jake and Harry.
"Results should be in in a month or so."
*6 weeks*
The envelope titled. "DDC" was waiting for me on the table I open it up;
'Jacob Peter Roche is 99.9999998% the father of Joshua Canen Roche'
I smile and run to where Jake should be and find a note in his place.
'Jessica,
I just couldn't bear the thought of Joshua not being my child, please spare me the news if he isn't. I can't handle it right now. Warmest Regards,
