"Hailey?" Nick called as he walked through the door.
"Yeah I'm in here" I sit up from the sofa I was laying on and look towards him. His hair is wet and in a mess on top of his head, as if he just showered.
"Oh hey" He smiles and comes over. "Are you feeling better?"
"Yeah a lot thank you so much for letting me stay last night."
"It's nothing, would u like a ride home or do u want to stay longer?"Nick's POV
I watch her face drop as I finish my question. Why is she always getting sad like this?
"Um you can just drop me off at the Target on 13th street I'll walk."
What? No way I'm doing that.
"Hailey I can take you home don't worry about it. Come on I'll buy you dinner on the way or something."
"Nick no!" I can tell she's getting angry and her voice raises at me.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing I'm fine just drop me off." Her voice drops again, her fingers making circles on her leg.
"Hailey I know you really don't know me and I understand if you don't trust me, but I'm not comfortable dropping you off at some random Target. I can tell something's wrong and if you can trust me I promise not to tell anyone and help with whatever it is."
I watch her pick her head up, let it fall again, and pick it up once more. Her eyes scan my face and I give her a sympathetic look.
"I don't have a house, I was kicked out and have no where to go."
