Hidden Secrets- Vampire Story

It's a snowy Christmas Eve night. The snow has gone from a blizzard to a slow snow fall. Every one is at home and no one is walking down the snowy streets except for one person in particular.

A woman was trudging through the snow with a basket cradled in her arms, looking frantically from window to window for a good family. The lady stopped at a house where a husband and wife were enjoying their dinner.

"Sophia, good luck. I love you" she whispered to her baby.

She left the baby at the door step and rang the doorbell. The lady then walked back the way she came from.

A young lady opened the door. She saw no one there and she was about to close the door until she heard the cry of a baby. She looked down and gasped. There by the doorstep was a basket with a tiny baby in it.

She picked up the basket and brought it inside. The biological mother of the baby was standing in the distance and trudged away once she saw that her baby was safe.

"George!" exclaimed the lady.

"Who was at the door, Helen?" asked George.

"Someone left a baby at our doorstep!" exclaimed Helen.

"Oh my goodness!" exclaimed George.

The husband and wife observed the beautiful baby in the basket. The baby had ebony hair, big, dark brown eyes and pale skin. Helen noticed that the baby was holding something. She carefully opened the babies hand and found a ring with the name, Sophia, engraved in it.

"Sophia" whispered Helen.

The baby giggled cheerfully.

"The babys name is Sophia" said Helen to her husband.

George nodded, "Perfect" he replied.

George and Helen both brought Sophia up to the bedroom to warm her up and thats how Christmas Eve passed by for Helen and George.

~A Few Years Later~

Sophia groaned in her sleep. She started to break into a deep sweat when she suddenly opened her eyes and tried to calm down. She had another nightmare. She sighed and sat up. Sophia glanced at the digital clock that stood on her nightstand. It was 6 in the morning. She got up and began to get ready for school. She was sick of having nightmares all the time.

Sophia POV

Another nightmare! This time was no joke. I dreamt that I was eating dinner all alone. My dinner consisted of raw meat drowning in blood on a plate. I also dreamt that as I was eating, I glanced up and there was someone sitting across from me on the dinner table. A pale mysterious young man. He just stared at me with those piercing reddish purple eyes. He broke into a devilish smile showing his fangs.

I snapped back to reality as I was thinking about my dream and I shivered. I headed to my bathroom with all the lights on in my room. I tied my long black hair in to a messy bun and splashed my face with cold water. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My skin was pale with very light coloring. My eyes were a regular boring brown.

I patted my face dry with a towel and headed towards my close to pick out my clothes. I threw on a cute oversized t-shirt, a pair of jeans and a sweater. I observed my self in the mirror. I was a bit chubby but it was ok.

I grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs. My parents were already awake. My mom was making breakfast in the kitchen and my dad was sitting on the couch watching tv. I sat down at the dining table while my mom greeted me. She set down a plate of eggs and toast with a cup of chai.

"Eat up quick, your going to be late for school, sweety," replied my mother. "Ok mom" I reply and eat up quick. As I leave, I say a quick good bye to my mom and dad.

I quickly caught the bus and took a seat.

When I reached my stop, I got off the bus saying a quick 'thank you' to the bus driver and headed towards the school. I headed towards my locker next to my friends. I don't have that many friends since I'm mostly independent. I talk to my friend but a few things and head to class. I got to my history class and sat down in the back by the windows.

The teacher walks in and says a quick good morning with a boy walking right behind him. I glance at the boy and his hair was completely white. It was abnormal and interesting and he was slightly tan. He caught me staring at him and glared at me. I quickly looked away. Gosh! What's his problem?

"Introduce yourself to the class, Jason" said the teacher.

"Hi, I'm Jason. I moved from California to here, New York. I'd like to get along with everyone so treat me well!" finished Jason.

" Alright, Jason. Take a seat in the back by Sophia" he explained. " Sophia, raise your hand."

I raise my hand. This doesn't look too good. He pulls out the chair and slumps in. The teacher began the lesson while I was too self conscious about the boy next to me.
