Natsu'sPOV: "I'm so glad I got all those damn bandages off" "Thank god I'm a fast healer" I thought to myself I look at Lucy's sleeping face and caress her soft porcelain skin. "Oh Lucy when are you going to wake up?" "I want to see those beautiful mesmerizing chocolate drop orbs of yours" I whispered to the sleeping blond beauty. I start tearing up at the memory of seeing her being beaten and I couldn't do a damn thing about it!

"I'm so sorry I failed you Lucy!" "I couldn't protect you...ttthhheee gggiiirrrlll I llllooovveee and cherisssshh!" "I'm such a failure!" I say as I hung my head down low. I feel a hand land on my head playing with my spiky yet soft hair. I don't dare look at her cause I feel so ashamed for failing her.
Lucy'sPOV: My body feels some numb and I can hardly move. I hear Natsu's voice blaming himself for what happened to me. I can't allow him to blame himself "Its not your fault Natsu!" "Its not your fault!" I whisper yelled inside my head. I slowly start to open my eyes but quickly close them again due to the ceiling's bright light. I decide to feel around until I came in constant with Natsu's hair. I start playing with his hair. He groans at my touch "Natsu" I whispered since my throat feels so dry. He doesn't answer me "Natsu" I say a little bit loud He still doesn't answer me I open my eyes not caring about the bright light blinding me. I turn my head to face him. I notice he's crying in his hands with his head hanging low as his tears fall to the marble floor as fast as rain drops. He keeps repeating the words "I'm sorry" over and over again. I rub my thumb on the side of his face attempting to wipe his tears away. He flinches at my touch but still refuses to lift his head up. "Natsu please look at me" I pleaded as I began to feel tears sliding down my face. I hated seeing him the man I loved so much like that I couldn't help but cry. I just look at him but he stays in the same position. I couldn't take it anymore I busted out crying "Nat-su ple-ase lo-ok at me" "Do you hate me or something?!" I shouted as I starting sobbing uncontrollably. Suddenly, I feel his warm hands on my face wiping my tears away with his thumbs. "Natsu" I whispered.
Natsu'sPOV: After I heard Lucy ask me if I hated her and she started crying I couldn't take it anymore. I cupped her face and wiped her tears away with my thumbs. "Lucy how could you ask me that?" "You know I don't hate you" "I could never hate you" "The only person I hate is myself and Lisanna of course" I reassured her "I get why you hate Lisanna but why do you hate yourself?" She asked "I hate myself because I let you get hurt!" "I just stood there while Lisanna was beating you!" "You could have died!" "And I didn't do I god damn thing!" I screamed. I start shaking and clutching my fist almost making them bleed. I was so disappointed in myself. "Lucy I -I -I failed... Before, I can finish she puts her index finger to my mouth shutting me up.
Lucy'sPOV: "Natsu listen to me when I say these words to you..." "It wasn't your fault" "You didn't fail me" "You saved me" "You got me to the hospital in time" "If it weren't for you I would have died" "You could have just left me to bleed to death on that cold hard cement." "You're my hero Natsu" "And I love you" I say smiling with a tint of pink on my cheeks.
