Chapter 9

Scott's point of view

Mitch. What is it about him? Every time I am near him I get butterflies. I never used to feel that way before. He makes me happy. My heart jumps every time he says my name and I can't stop thinking about him. He just looks so perfect. I have to stop thinking like this about him. He is my best friend.  I need to talk to someone about this. Ding. That just might be my person. I go check my phone.  Hey Scott. Can you come over? Kirstie and I have something to tell you and everyone else. - A. What would they have to tell us? Sure. I will be right over, I reply to him. I leave the house with Mitch and we get in the car. "Mitch.", I say breaking the silence. "yea?", he answers looking at me. "What are the signs that you like someone or are in love with someone", I ask as we stop at a red light. I look over at him.  "You know you are in love with someone or just have a crush on someone when you can't stop thinking about them, you have butterflies when you see them, your heart jumps when they say your name." ,he explains to me, looking into my eyes. I smile and give him a hug. He gasps and then hugs me back.  We pull away just as the light turns green. I start to drive again. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Mitch staring a me, smiling.  We get to Avi's house and get out. We walk up the fifty steps to his house and knock. He opens the door and lets us in. Kevin was already there sitting next to Kirstie. "He you guys", I say mimicking Mitch. He slaps me in the arm causing everyone to laugh.  Avi shuts the door behind us and follows us t the couch. He takes Kirstie's hand and pulls her up to the front of the the living room. Esther is here also. She is sitting on the floor.  We look at them, waiting for one of them to speak.  Avi takes a deep breath and smiles. "Like you all know, Kristin and I have been together fr a while now", Avi begins. I can already tell where this is going. "We have decided that...", Kirstie continued. "That we wanted to take it to the next level.", Avi said looking at Kirstie. "We are getting Married!"they both said in unison. I knew it. The rest of us cheered and gave them hugs. "When did this happen?", Mitch asked with a smirk. They look at each other awkwardly, then smile at us a little to innocently. "Well.."Avi said chuckling to himself. They told us about Kirstie going over Av's house and how he proposed this morning.  "That's so cute", Mitch and Esther squealed in excitement. The rest of us just laughed a how close they were, even though Esther was Avi's sister. A couple minutes later Avi asked Kevin to be his best man and me to be one of his other bachelors, and Kirst asked Esther to be her maid of honor and Mitch one of her other bridesmaids. We all happily agreed. We all ended the night with a movie night. I am so happy for Kirsten and Avi. I hope one day I can find my true love.
