High school. A place full of people who try to fit in.

Nothing but being confronted.

Asking yourself how you'll survive four years

Of nights filled with tears.

We live in a society today

Where none of us are ever comforted.

Revolving our lives around what other people say.

Letting their words influence our thoughts.

Girls, you know what it feels like to have no confidence

All because the guy you like said some other girl is hot.

You feel pressured to be someone else.

Be someone that you're not.

Because of one comment, you feel the need to change.

You change yourself until you feel accepted.

Still fearing that you'll be rejected.

We let people get to us.

We let them change how we think.

We let them change how we act.

You know, my dad gave me some amazing advice the other day.

"Madysen, listen to me." he said.

"Don't let all those comments get to your head.

If they don't like you for who you are,

That's their loss.

Don't change because they want you to.

Stop caring about something your lying, manipulative ex said to you.

I know it's hard,

But you'll make it through.

Who cares what he says?

Who cares what you do?

Who cares if you're a ten or a two?

In the end, all that matters is that you are you."
