Toki
Chapter Four
The golden castle gates gleamed in the bright yellow sun. I went to one of my favorite places, the highest peak in the castle, the keep. I quickly fled to the upper staircase and climbed my way up, eventually at the door of the keep. I walked in and peered through the window, the whole kingdom laid out before me like a beautiful Persian rug. At the corner of the rug, I could see the village and its cargo of other dogs, working hard in the fields. I knew that somewhere that dog, Ramses, was stuck inside my head, implanted in my brain, and I knew that I would confront him again.
