Angels and Beasts

Chapter 4 ~ Unwinding Beasts.

"SHEHRYAAAAAAARRRR!!!!!!!!" Screamed Komal at the top of her voice when she saw from the cliff, Shehryar's body lying flat on the ground. Standing at almost the edge of the cliff, Komal's tears made their way out of her eyes and went towards Shehryar. The waterdrops landed right on his cheeks. Shehryar felt those water droplets caressing his cheeks. It was the last thing he felt. She turned away and called the emergency rescue squad. If only Komal knew Shehryar was breathing his last breaths, she would have jumped of that cliff too just to savour those last moments with him. It seemed too late though. Rescue squad retrieved Shehryar but he had lost a lot of blood. He wasnt responding even. His pulse was dropping too. They put Shehryar Infront of her eyes on a stretcher. She still couldn't believe all this. Her mind wanted all this to be a horrific dream. She got near this almost  dead body, opened Shehryar's eyes with her own hands and breathed air into his mouth. She beated his chest in desperate attempt to see signs of life. Even though she once gave a new life to this body, but this time around, she was entirely helpless. The emotional trauma induced over her mind was making her vulnerable. She saw Shehryar receiving immediate medical aid. The fact that she was the reason behind all this took the toll of her and she fainted.

            The rescue squad escorted both of them to the closest hospitals. They even collected the dropped photographs and other papers. One of the members of the squad recognized Shahrukh Butt's face in the photo alongside this girl and tried to contact him. After almost an hour of struggle, the member finally contacted him. Shahrukh was struck back to hear about this news. He instantly rushed to the hospital. Shahrukh was only concerned about Komal. He didn't really bother how critical Shehryar's condition was. The doctors reassured Shahrukh that Komal is doing just fine and she'll be concious within couple of hours describing her condition to be just a nervous breakdown. Shahrukh sat down beside Komal, he held her hands tightly. She was cold. He felt cold. He felt goosebumps. These weren't the normal ones though. Such sort of goosebumps happened only when he felt scared to death. This time he was scared to death as her loved one was struggling. The last time he felt this much scared was, when Shehryar unexpectedly arrived at his home and pointed a gun towards him. That day everyone veiled their angels and   unleashed their beasts. That day rage took over everyone. It was the day of several revenges.

             It was the day when Shehryar fired at Shahrukh.The bullet seared through his shoulder causing the huge wound which felt cold to Shahrukh now. Shehryar immediately was at the receiving end too when the security gaurd fired in the reply. The Gaurd fired on his shoulder and legs. Both of them, Shahrukh and Shehryar fell on the floor. They could see each other in the eyes being only 20 feet apart. Shehryar was hurt badly. Shahrukh's shoulder and  BIG ego was hurt too. Shehryar never showed even a single amount of pain infront of his foe. Maintaining the stare, Shehryar angrily exchanged looks with Shahrukh. Thats when the lights turned off. Shehryar lost consciousness. Both these wounded men were taken at different places. Shehryar was taken to that steel cage while Shahrukh was brought to the same best hospital of their city where Shehryar and Komal were being treated now. Shehryar never knew he was accused of Shahrukhs Dad's death. Shahrukh knew. Shahrukh let out a tear while remembering his dead dad. Shahrukh was lost in his thoughts until he heard the sweet whisper of Komal. "Sha... rukkh! What . what. what have we done?" Shahrukh remained silent and rubbed Komals hands. "Where's Shehryar?", She inquired. Shahrukh angrily replied: "Where he should have been a long long time ago." "Look! I did what i could, Stop lusting over me now. I LOVE SHEHRYAR!!!" She shrudded.

                         Shahrukh clenched his fists,got up from the stool he was sitting on and left the ward she was admitted in. He sat down on the bench in the busy corridor outside. Several serious patients were coming in a blink of an eye while many people who were similarly tensed were sitting there. The commotion happening around didnt at all bother Shahrukh. He was deep in his thoughts. He was mad at the fact that Komal loved the idiot Shehryar. He already tore off those photos and papers which the rescue member handed him over. Recalling those photos instilled instant rage in his mind. He was creeped out and angry because they both were being monitored without having even the slightest of ideas. The papers had  imprinted all the phones records of both these individuals and from the exact minutes of the long entire calls, it was quite evident that Komal and Shahrukh had joined hands against Shehryar. Meanwhile, Shahrukh loosened his grey tie and moved his fingers swiftly across his dark brown hair. Shahrukh sat there for several hours thinking about the day when he saw komal. It was the same day when Shehryar and Komal met for the first time. 

                     When Shehryar and Komal bumped on that day, Shahrukh was also present in the same hotel for the same meeting Shehryar was called in for. It was a large meeting comprising of all the top businessman of the city. Anyways, Shahrukh saw Shehryar colliding with that beautiful girl and he immediately noticed the spark of chemistry buiding up between those two at that very instant. Thats when his inner angel started having  feelings for this girl and his inner demon plotted against Shehryar. Leaving the meeting halfway Shahrukh went to find that girl. He talked to her, got acquainted to her, offered her a huge sum of money to join forces with him to disintegrate the business tycoon Shehryar. Komal seemed skeptical at first as she never had such sort of a nature and she never harmed anyone, But for the much needed huge sum of money she obliged. She blindly trusted Shahrukh as she had heard a lot about his integrity all over the news but she never knew Shahrukh's mischiefs could lead them down to this road. Even Shahrukh knew that through the course of time, Shehryars charming personality won Komals heart. At first she was completely bluffing with the so called "love" but later it turned out to be her major weakness. Shehryar didnt know that Komal now had true feelings for him but Shahrukh knew. Shahrukh smirked when he recalled the favour komal did earlier in order to free Shehryar from all the charges. 

                   She slept with him unwantedly as that was the only choice she had. Shahrukh remembered comprehensively each and every detail. It was that night when Shahrukh also felt in love with her. The irony was, Shehryar Fell in love in the daylight while Shahrukh did in the night. In this regretful night for Komal. Throughout the coitus, Komal never looked  into Shahrukh's eyes. She wasnt even mentally there. She just pretended to be a piece of meat for Shahrukh. She  kept on thinking about Shehryar at that time. Shahrukh felt that obviously. It made him exasperated then and now too. 

                 "Tringg tringgggg!!, TRINGGG TRINGGG!!!" Shahrukhs mobile buzzed. Shahrukh saw it was his secretary's call from two stories above where shehryar was being operated and rescued. He instantly picked up the phone and was anxious to hear the news. He felt elated when he heard that Shehryar had a severe blow on his head which caused a concussion, enough to wither his memory and senses. Shehryar did recover but he was no longer a sane person. It didnt take long before Shehryar's suspicious admittance to a mental hospital. In the beginning he was just disabled physically but in such surroundings he lost it and became mentally challenged too. 

      ~LITTLE WAYS DOWN THE ROAD~(5 and half years later)

            A little girl and her mom were standing in the cemetery. "Mommy?". "Yes Dear?" Komal replied instantly. "Whose grave is it?" A sweet 5 year old young child inquired.

Komal directly pointed to the headstone and said: "Try and read the name written over there." The child obliged and started reading: "S"..."H". The child stopped after reading these two words as she heard her moms phone ringing. She looked upto her mom as her mom was now dragging her to the car while listening to this phone call. The child was disappointed as she couldnt even read the whole name. Once in the car, she complained to her mom that she didnt even let her read the name, to which her mom apologized and promised that the next Sunday they both come here, she'll make sure she does read it then. The innocent kid agreed. When both of them reached back to their home, the child called out while slamming the main door : "Dad!!! where are you?" 

               This quick thumping of the wooden door caused the side shelf to vibrate which was the root cause of the sudden toppling of the photoframe. Breaking it down into several pieces. Komal entered and saw the huge pile of glass. She knew her mischievous yet innocent daughter would have done it. She also promised herself this time to change the position of these photoframes and also to empty the shelf besides the door. She picked up the upside down photoframe and saw this 5 year old couple photograph of her wedding. In the photo the bride and the  groom looked amazing. The door bell rang at that moment. The person kept on ringing it causing immense noise pollution. Before opening the door, Komal   saw from the fish eye to know who the idiot was, she was struck back. Due to the bright sunlight outside, she could only see a silhoute of a man holding out a sharp knife straight. The person beated the door in anger and kept ringing the door bell furiously. Komals heart raced, simultaneously her phone bell rang again. She did not dare to pick it up. She stopped right in her tracks when the bell ringing and door beating stopped. After several minutes of immense silence, she heard a squeak. She immediately screamed when she remembered that she had mistakenly left the backyard door open. The squeak was followed by her childs scream.
