~BRYSTEN'S POV~
"So, Mr. Bryson, is it?"
"Brysten, Miss."
"Apologies Brysten. Well, here is your schedule and the boy chosen to show you around is outside. Welcome to Hellswood." The secretary finished speaking to me and gave me a cheesy grin, her thick-framed glasses moving upwards comically as she did so. I took my schedule out of her outstretched hand and shot her an awkward grin before turning on my heels and making my way out of the office.
I stepped out into the bright waiting area as an average sized, dark-skinned boy stood up and stretched his hand out.
"Hi, I'm Nixon. Wizard." He said somewhat awkwardly.
"Brysten. Werewolf" I gave his hand a quick shake. More brief small talk was passed between us before we arrived at our first classroom.
Nixon began opening the door before suddenly stopping. "Oh! I almost forgot. Welcome to Hell." We both smiled as he swung the door open. Inside the dimly lit classroom was havok. There were flying inanimate objects and crawling notepads and students sat on tables and scattered chairs all talking, laughing and showing off their skills that they have in their individual species.
I'm the most boring species. I'm only a werewolf. I try to never turn myself into a wolf but when I'm angry it just happens. Nixon took me to the back of the classroom and sat down in the corner. I sat next to him as a teacher glided into the room and raised his hand with no other movement. I sat and watched, anticipating his next move. after about ten seconds the door slammed and all of the windows closed, curtains drawn. Every student stopped talking and sat down, all flying objects were stilled.
"Welcome to your first lesson of the year, students. I will be your Spec teacher this year, my name is Mr. Vaughn." Spec was an abbreviated word for "Speciality". Mr Vaughn was a middle-aged teacher with a short, well-groomed quiff and dressed like a teenager-wannabe. This was a lesson when any species can show what skills an specialities they have or can be helped find a speciality. Everyone loved this lesson, a chance to show off their skills and make others jealous. I hated this. It was no different in my last school. Everyone had something to show except me. I can turn into a mutt. That's all.
** writing on iPod now so there is going to be spelling mistakes**
After my lesson of hell I had free period. Nixon took me into the Common Room and we sat down with some others. I got introduced to them all and we exchanged some animated small talk, I wasn't bothered by them to be honest. I never got along with vampires. After a while I figured that people of our age would be coming into this room as our whole year group had free period; I sat and watched the door.
Pink hair, wildly tattooed skin, short and slim. Pixie.
Masses of messy hair, tall, buff. Werewolf.
Extremely pale blue hair, olive skin, bright blue eyes, red lips, average height. Now what was she? I studied her closer. She had a distinct fashion taste: she was wearing a rich, royal blue crop top with a black waist high skirt with white crosses that came to above mid thigh. This was accompanied by some worn in combat boots and a black leather bag which had white writing on it that simply read "Don't follow me. I'm lost, too.". I chuckled inwardly at the slogan and watched her behaviour intently. She walked over to a table which had two people sat there already. A boy and a girl. The boy had electric blue hair and deep purple eyes. The girl had bright red hair and wings that glittered slightly. Both pixies. But what was this girl? Every species has a look but she was different. The mysterious girl simply pulled a book from her bag and started reading while her friends chatted to eachother. I needed to know.
