Bloody Pink

Chapter Two

The classroom was busy,as usual. Idle chatter,students keeping themselves busy,lonely ones trying not to appear that lonely. Zuveria walked into the class,her eyes darting here and there,head low she went to the last bench and sat there with her other companions. She saw Sonia walking in with indifference and taking the middle rows. They didnt sit together,they at least wanted their own space during class.
Class was boring as usual. The lecturers droned on and on about the history of the Amon subtly hinting the hand of the pink in the ruins of their glory. This way they inserted in the minds of the strong students that they were superior and also to prepare the pinks to face a world full of prejudice.
Zuveria sighed,no matter how much they prepare her she will never be ready for a world of hurt,pain and taunts.
"And why should I? I am not going down without a fight"she thought. But deep down she knew she was deceiving herself.
"Hey dreamer, what's going on in your head?" A boy sitting beside her smirked.
Zuveria smiled a little and shook her head, and said, " Nothing much."
"Tell me,at least it will be less boring than the lecture",he paused thoughtfully and then added,"I hope so."
"Stop being sarcastic, Erio."
"You saw through me,its much better when the person doesnt notice it." Erio whined.
"Isn't that the other way round?"
The boy grinned and was about to speak when he caught the lecturer's eye. The professor eyed them both sternly and said," Inattentive pinks like you drag the whole class down. Dont disturb the others who are working hard here."
The message was clear,they had to get out of the room now. It was pretty harsh considering that the other students got off with just a scolding.
"No second chance?",Erio asked faking nonchalance,but Zuveria could detect a hint of nervousness in his voice. She knew what it meant to be standing outside the class,teased by other students,even being taunted by the professors.
"I believe I made it clear that I dont want you two in my class,and if you dont follow, then I wont have to see you both again." The professor smiled hopefully.
Seeing the smile,Zuveria boiled with rage, she stood up and without a word went out the door.
"That was cold." One of the boys said
"Yea,someone should teach her to respect the stronger ones",one of the girls agreed. The rest gave their approval.
"All of you are living in an illusion. Just try to open your eyes,will do you all alot of good." Erio said
"Yea, I can clearly see your stupidity, thanks a lot for that advise." A boy said pleasantly.
Before a fight could take place the professor took the lost control in his hands and glared at Erio. Knowing he was defeated,he went out with his head high.
Watching the commotion Sonia shook her head and sighed. The other girls watched her, hoping for some more protests, but it was not to be fulfilled. Unbeknownst to Zuveria, Sonia too faced the same problem of bullying. Granted it was not as intense her's but it was to some extent damaging. There were many vicious rumours spread around about her. The rumours were of various nature, some denoting that she may be the pink's girlfriend or best friend aiding her in the destruction of the land. It didnt bother Sonia until they made a direct attack on her, that was when she started to suffer even though it still looked like she didnt care.
"Look at her all sad and ready to fight now that her friend has been bunged out of the class." the girls whispered to each other.
"Hey Sonia, why dont you join her too. Would do us all a big favour." they laughed
Amidst the droning of the proffessor, Sonia didnt hear these comments or chose to ignore them.
