Chapter 2: An Unusual Question To Ask A Friend

A week had passed since Mahado first transferred to Seto's school and the two of them became friends. They talked to each other before and after school everyday. One day while walking to school, Mahado asked Seto an unusual question.

"What would you do if our phone diaries were able to tell the future?" Mahado asked Seto while walking besides him. "I don't know, that would depend on what we could do with them if they could do that." Seto answered back. Mahado then asked another question. "If your phone had a power. what kind of power would you have?"

Seto thought for a bit before answering. "I guess it would be the power to tell about random things that happen in my life. What would your power be?" Seto asked Mahado. Mahado looked at his phone, then back at Seto. "I guess mine would be to tell me about you if you ever got into any trouble or something." Mahado told Seto.

This made Seto stop in his tracks. Mahado stopped as well and looked back at him. "Is something the matter Seto?" Mahado asked him after a minute or two of Seto not moving. Seto looked at Mahado with questionable eyes. "What you said just now, would you really want to have that kind of power?" Seto asked Mahado while still standing on the sidewalk.

Mahado looked down before looking back up to answer. "Well, yeah, I guess. I mean, I know it would be creepy and all to track your every move, but . . ." Mahado looked at his phone. "I was thinking that, well, I was thinking that we could be partners for life or something." Mahado then started to blush a deep red. "To tell you the truth, I felt like I wanted to be more than just friends the moment we met." Mahado explained to Seto.

Now it was Seto's turn to start blushing. "I had no idea you felt that way towards me." Seto pondered over Mahado's words carefully. "Mahado, are you saying your gay?" Seto asked after pondering what Mahado had said to him earlier. Mahado nodded his head slowly. "I've been gay since the age of 15. With how bad my girl skills were, I would either end up insulting them or stutter badly to the point that I couldn't speak right until I got away from them.

Seto was surprised to hear this. Mahado had bad girl skills, so he ended up being gay! Sure, he could talk to other men without a problem. But when they would talk about love, that's when things got bad for him. 'I didn't know Mahado was that bad with girls until now.' Seto thought to himself. Mahado looked at the time. "Crap, we're gonna be late for school, c'mon!" He grabbed Seto's arm and ran to school.
