Battle On

"Now is that any way to talk to a lady?" said Serena in a seductive voice.

"Cut the act! This isn't like you! If Palermo is blackmailing you, then you need to get over it. Whatever you're hidding can't be that bad." Ash snapped. Serena laughed at Ash's stupidity.

"Ash, Ash, Ash. You're wrong! I've always acted this way! You've just never taken a notice in me until now! Besides Palermo is the best thing that's ever happened to me." she said happily. "I may not have ever confessed my feelings, but I'm at last ready for you." She said taking out a pokeball. "I'm going to assume you kept your promise and left your pokemon behind."

"Actually, Serena, in your note it read. Don't bring your pokemon or anyone with you to the forest tonight. You never said anything about not bring my pokemon in the day time." said Ash as he adjusted his hat, pulling out one of his pokeballs.

"I told you to come alone." Serena stated darkly. "Braxien! I need your help!" Serena yelled as she threw Braxien's pokeball. Out came Braxien from it's pokeball, swatting her twig in the air and pointing it at Ash.

"Greninja!" Ash announced, throwing Greninja's pokeball.

"Not bad." Serena thought aloud.

"Braxien, use flamethrower!" Serena commanded.

Braxien looked slightly worried for Serena, but obeyed her. Braxien shot it's flamethrower at Greninja without holding back.

"Dodge it, then use water pulse!" Ash commanded.

Greninja swiftly dodged the flamethrower and shot out it's own water pulse. The water pulse landed a direct hit on Braxien's back, sending her face first into the ground.

"You need to be more dominate!" Palermo called to Serena.

Serena nodded in agreement and turned to Braxien. "Braxien!" Serena growled. "Get up this instant and use flame burst!"

Braxien gave out a shocked expression to Serena. She couldn't believe Serena would act this way.

"Nows our chance Greninja! Use water pulse once more!"

Greninja nodded and used it's water pulse once again. This time, successfully knocking out Braxien.

"Oh no you don't!" Serena yelled. She quickly returned Braxien to it's pokeball and sent out Pancham and Sylveon.

"Pancham use dark pulse and Sylveon use swift!"

Pancham and Sylveon obeyed and lashed out their attacks.

Ash threw another pokeball into the air, revealing Talonflame.

"Talonflame, use steel wing on Sylveon! Greninja use double team followed with cut on Pancham!"

Talonflames wings turned silver as it landed a critical hit on Sylveon. Greninja followed suit by multiplying itself several times, then using it's cut attack on Pancham.

Both of Serena's pokemon faimted almost instantly. It was as if they weren't trying to battle at all, rather worry for their trainer.

"NOO!" Serena screamed. "Palermo help me!"

Serena looked to Palermo with hope, only to get a sour scoul.

"You are never going to be a kalos queen unless you can beat a trainer in battle. Aria deserves the title of Kalos Queen more than you."

Serena began to sob as Palermo sent out her own Delphox.

"Delphox use mystical fire!" Palermo commanded.

Delphox spun it's twig like wand towards Serena and attacked. The mystical fire hit Serena on full force, caising Serena to faint.

Ash ran up to Serena, giving Palermo a dirty look. Before he cpuld say anything, she was gone. Leaving Ash and Serena alone in the dark night far away from the pokemon center.
