The next day, Gwen was trying to finish a big pile of work when she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," she said, straightening herself up. Her mother entered, carrying a small book.

"It's time for your history lesson," she said. "Here, you'll need this." She handed her a book about New Sochi's history.

"Thanks." She walked out of the room and into the corridor. As she was walking down the labyrinth of halls, she thought about not being able to be a queen one day. At least my sister is safe, she thought. When she reached the door to the study, another hand reached for the door. It was Selene's. The sisters laughed in unison.

"You have a history lesson too?" Selene asked.

"Yeah, it sucks, right?" Gwen replied.

"Actually, no. I love learning about the countries and their history."

"Really? I don't know how you can stomach that stuff."

"Come on, we don't wanna be late." She opened the door, and the two went inside.

The tutor, Devin, was waiting in the study chair near the fireplace.

"Good morning, you two. Ready for the lesson?" He said. The princesses took out their books and journals. As Devin droned on about WWIII, and the Territorial Exchange of 2073, a lot of things went on in Gwen's head - royalty, history, her long-lost sister, and Devin.

Wait a second, she thought, do I like Devin?

No. He's not even my type. How could I like those soft brown bangs, and those grey-blue eyes, and--

Oh my God.

Halfway through the history lesson, Devin chuckled.

"Gwen?" She snapped out of her daydreaming.

"It's time for the quiz."

"Oh, okay. I'm ready," she said.

The quiz went on for 30 questions, and Serene got almost all of them right. When it was over, the girls packed up their stuff. After Selene left for brunch, Gwen was about to leave when--

"Hey! Gwen, can I have a sec?" Devin asked.

"Yeah, totally," Gwen said, trying to act normal.

"I was just thinking, since you seem like you need a little more help, maybe we could have a.... private study session?"

"Yeah, that sounds great!" She said.

Don't get too excited, it's not a date, she thought. It's a study session.

"How about tonight?" He asked, packing up his books and bags.

"Sounds great," Gwen said with a smile. "Come to my room tonight. How does nine sound?"

"Perfect. See you then," he said. "I mean, your majesty."

Gwen couldn't help but laugh at his awkward bow. "Okay, see you," she said as she walked away.

On her way to brunch, she didn't know what to think.

Maybe I'll show Devin what's really in this brain, she thought happily. After all, I'm more than just a pretty face.
