The chilly air hit my bare face as my blonde hair furiously flew about, waving in every direction. I tried my best to tame it down, but without a hair tie there was nothing else I could do. I continued to walk and push my hair out of my face when suddenly I felt my body crash into another.Instantly I heard a crash of materials. I looked up and saw an odd looking man with pink hair? He was busy picking up his groceries that had fallen. I bent over and decided to help. Quickly, I grabbed as many items and was about to pick up a box of Cereal when ,coincidencly, we grabbed it at the same time. I raised my eyes to look at him and met the most gorgeous oynex eyes I've ever seen. I frantically pulled my hand away.
I blushed both of embarrassment and how good looking he was.
"I'm so sorry!" I said. As I stood up with bags in my hands.
"No, it's okay really I wasn't watching were I was going" he said as he picked up the Cereal I had left abandoned.
"It's my fault really I couldn't see with my hair in my face, with the wind and all"
These damn Houston winds. I thought. Damn this city. It really made no sense. Yesterday it was so sunny and bright, but today it was freezing and the winds were crazy!
"Were you walking with all these groceries?" I asked only because I noticed he had quite a handful to carry.
"No I was heading towards my car" he replies. Of course he has a car Lucy, who in their right mind would walk around with their groceries?
"Oh, then please let me help you" It was the least I could do, I made this man drop his groceries!. Plus he's really cute.
After I would say a 5 minuet walk we made it to a small black Nissan. He opened the truck and we arranged the bags inside.
"Hey thanks for the help, I'd like to repay you; maybe with coffee?" He asked as he scratched the back of his neck.
He's asking me out. He's asking me out. He's asking me out
"Sure that sounds fun"
"Then have you heard of the new cafe that opened recently? It's called Artesano's?"
I've heard of that cafe before. It was near Discovery Green and not a far distance from my apartment. I saw on a blog that they're very famous for their cute pastries and cheap coffee.
"Sounds great, if it's alright with you can I have your number?" I asked as I hesitantly handed over my phone. Since he asked me out for coffee then I obviously have to ask for his number there's nothing wrong with that Lucy, calm yourself.
He took it from my hand and typed in his numbers. A phone buzz later and I had his phone number.
"Then early tomorrow around 9?"
"Of course"
_____________
I had my hair up in a ponytail this time. I couldn't have my hair in my face after what happened yesterday.
I was on my way to the cafe. When I noticed a pink hair male walking a couple feet in front of me. Silently I sped up and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around surprised , but when he saw me his face lit up.
"Hey" he said in probably the smoothest voice I've heard.
"I noticed you walking ahead and decided to catch up" I said.
As we headed towards our destination in silence, I noticed that I had never really paid attention to the architecture or nature of the city, and as we arrived in-front of Artesano's I noticed that this new cafe was gorgeous.
