Around six pm, when the sun went down, Rose left.

I didn't question her because I probably wouldn't have gotten the truth but she said, "I'll be back soon, I love you."

And I smiled and said, "be careful, love you too."

It's now five am.

She's been gone for twelve hours.

I was waiting on the couch nine pm to twelve am, then I fell asleep, and I woke up and Rose still hadn't came home.

Of course I was worried. Why wouldn't I be?

So, I made myself a bowl of cereal, ate it, pondered on life, wondering why I was still waiting for her, and I sighed.

I've been with Rose for six years, four out of those six years, she's left in the evening, came back in the wee hours of the morning.

It was tiring- exhausting, actually.

In the entire time Rose was gone, I could do whatever I wanted when I wanted, but I loved her too much to do that.

At six am, the front door slowly opened and Rose came in.

She sniffled and took her shoes off at the door.

"Oh- I didn't think you'd be awake yet." She said, laying on the couch with me.

"I've been awake since twelve." I shrugged.

"Oh." She whispered, biting her nails.

"Are you okay?" I looked at her. Her blue eyes were red, her hair messy also, and she was sniffling inconsistently.

"I'm okay." She nodded, pressing her lips to my cheek and letting them linger for five seconds before laying back down.

"I love you, Rose,"

"I love you, too, Caleb."
