Chapter Seven

*Angelika's POV*

"I forgot to tell you. You are--"

"Amber Coleen Fuentes. Hindi ako marerecognize ng mga taong nameet ko noong buhay pa ako. Duh! Ilang araw mo na ba yan inuulit-ulit? Sinabi rin yan ni Gel. Sinabi mo rin yan nung nasa purgatory tayo. Intinding-intindi ko na yan. Kaya wag--" Pinutol ni Jhay ang sasabihin ko.

"Shut up! Shut up! Ugh! Hindi mo naiintindihan eh!" Frustrated na sabi nya.

"Naiintindihan ko." I said.

"Yun naman pala! Then act like Amber!"

"Hindi ko naman kilala yang Amber!" I shouted.

"You guys, cut it out!" Awat samin ni Ethan na may hawak na FHM magazine. Seriously? Perverted-maniac nga pala sya.

Pinanlisikan ako ng mata ni Jhay bago umalis. Umupo nalang ako sa sofa. Tss. Oo na, inaway ko na yung cashier. Nagsorry naman ako eh. Pero, bakit ganun kung makareact si Jhay? Tss. Gusto lang niya akong mabulok sa hell eh.

"Come with me." Napalingon ako kay Hel. Hihindi sana ako kaso hinila niya ako papunta sa isang hall way ng mansion na hindi ko pa na-explore.

Bumaba kami sa isang staircase papuntang underground. Wow! May underground pala dito. May mga portraits na nakasabit sa mga dingding. Portraits of gods and godesses. Artemis, Aphrodite, Athena, Zeus and many more. They are so pretty like me! Hahaha! May mga statues ng ghouls, demons, vampires and other monsters. Fudge! Is it November already? Nangilabot ako sa mga statues kaya tumingin lang ako sa likod ni Hel. Sh!t. Pinagpapawisan na ako sa kaba dito! The lights are dimmed. Parang.. horror house. Creeeeeeeepyy!!!

"We're here." Napalundag ako sa gulat nang biglang nagsalita si Hel. Napahawak ako sa puso ko na nagtumbling sa gulat. Napa-iling sya sa inakto ko. Binuksan naman niya ang isang pintuan na lumang-luma na.

When Hel opened the door, I was blinded by the light. Namangha ako sa aking nakita. Isang garden. Wow. I stood breathless. Trees swaying in harmony, reeds dancing in the winds. Oh my! Flowers! Different kinds of flowers! Ang kakaiba, yung roses. There are white, red, blue, green, pink, violet, at yung pinakakakaiba sa lahat, black roses. Lumapit ako doon at akmang pipitas ng isa ng pinigilan ako ni Hel.

"Don't pick flowers here. They are made by devils. Those black roses are made by Satan. He fell inlove with a maiden, a human to be exact. He tried to court her by making colorful flowers. Except the color black. Yes, he succeeded. The maiden fell inlove with him, too. But not for long. One night, a devil went up the human world, lived like a real human. He went up just to spread mischief. Unfortunately, he and Satan's maiden cross paths. The maiden felt love at first sight with the human. Then, they made love. I don't know why. But that made Satan in rage. He declared war against that devil. Unfortunately, Satan died. After Satan's death, a black flower grew, here in this garden. Until, it became abundant. And so, the devil and the maiden married and had a baby. The maiden didn't know that her husband is a devil. Perhaps, he is the new king in hell." Kwento ni Hel. Umatras naman ako.

"Pero, bakit ang garden na ito ang tinubuan ng black roses? Hindi ba pwedeng yung garden sa mga parks?" Tanong ko.

"This garden was made by Satan and his maiden." Ohhh. Kaya pala.

"How about the son or daughter of the devil and the maiden?" Hindi naman nya nabanggit. Pero, baka si Jhay? Diba sabi nila, prince daw si Jhay, eh king yung devil eh. May chance na baka nga anak ng maiden si Jhay.

"They had a son and a daughter. Twins, they're not identical. One lived in the mortal world, one lived in heaven. Ironic nuh? Devil ang ama, pero heaven ang punta. They're lost. Jhay, as you know, is known as the prince. Pero wala sa dugo niya ang pagiging prince. He never told us why he is chosen as prince." Ahh okay.

"How about the maiden?" I asked.

"She died after finding out that her son and daughter were lost. Until now, they're still trying to find them." Aww.. What a nice story! Pwedeng maging novel. Romance and mystery. Wow!! Ganda kaya nun! Magigung best-seller yun for sure!

"We better leave." Hel said. I sighed and we went out the room, pastthe scary statues, beautiful portraits, up the stairs and through the hallway. Narating namin ang dining. Andun na silang lahat, kumakain. Umupo kami at kumain na rin.

"Where have you been?" Tanong sa'kin ni Jhay. Inirapan ko lang at nagpatuloy sa pagkain. Tss! Inaway mo ako kanina, ngayon, para na kitang papa na nag-aala sa'kin! Hmp!

"Aba't!" Akmang sasaktan sana ako ni Jhay nang nagsalita si Hel.

"We went for a stroll outside." Paliwanag niya na mukhang effective dahil he calmed down.

"Tss." Sabi niya at nagpatuloy nalang sa pagkain.

Pagkatapos naming kumain, pinaakyat na ako ni Jhay sa kwarto ko. Psh! May trabaho pa daw kasi ako bukas. Tsk! Who cares? Duh! Pero wala akong mapapala kung mag-aaway man kami kaya umakyat ako ng kwarto at gumulong-gulong lang sa kama ko.

I remembered the story Hel told me awhile ago. Pwede pala yun? Devil at human. I smiled bitterly. I miss my past life. I know maldita ako. Pero alam niyo ba? May boyfriend kayo ako nun. Tss! Wag na nga kayo mangielam! Lovelife ko yun! Kaso, wala na ako nun. Namatay kasi sya. Tss! Wag na kayo magtanong kung bakit! Matutulog na nga ako.

I slowly closed my eyes as my soul drifted off to dreamland.
