Dream Walkers

Chapter 4

I turn around and faced the man I thought I would never be seeing, well in person.

"Alec?" I whispered. He looked at me and smiled.  Am I dreaming?

"Who the hell are you?" Matt grabs my arm and pulls me to his side. I shrug my arm out of his grip and step towards the man in front of me. 

I stand in front of him and look up at him. I poke him in the chest and my hand doesn't go through him. I then pinch myself and I am definitely not dreaming. Dang that hurt. 

"Wh-what? Ho-oow?" I stuttered. I don't understand. How can this be happening? I thought he was just a figure of my imagination. I look back at him and he is just smiling at me. 

"Hey" he says. His voice is amazing. "Do I know you?" What?! 

"I think so. I don't know." I turn around and Matt and Celeste are staring at me. 

"You look familiar. I'm Alec, which you already know" he laughs. Damn his laugh is deep and sexy. "What's your name?"

"I'm Luna and that girl over there" I point "Is Celeste" 

"Nice to meet y'all. You going to be okay?" He asked looking between me and Matt. 

I walk over to Celeste and grab her to come with me. I walk by him and nod my head. Me and Celeste walk off. Her confused, but not as confused as me. How can he be here? I don't understand. I am damn sure that was him. The same guy from my dream, but he wasn't in my dream this time. I just don't understand. 

I feel Celeste pull on my arm, "How do you know him?"

How do I say this? 'Oh him? Yeah he was the guy from my dream' yeah because that doesn't make me sound crazy. "I don't know" 

"You sure?" Her eyes look into mine as if she is searching for the truth. "Okay" she sits down in the bean bag chair next to the shelves in the library. I mimic her. 

"What am I going to do about Matt? He just went crazy all a sudden and I don't know what to do" I lay my head in my hands. 

"Babe you need to ignore him. I don't understand. He was trying to make me believe that you have been flirting with Eric and anything with a dick. I knew he was lying. Hello? I am your best friend" she laughs. 

"This is not a laughing matter. He freaking cornered me this morning and he kissed me and wouldn't get of until I kneed his jewels" 

"I'll cut a bitch. You want me to? I swear he needs to understand not to fucking mess with you. How can he go from all sweet and innocent to psycho?" That's what I'm wandering.

"Shit! Do you think he stopped taking his pills again?" You see Matt has to take these pills that help with his um... issues.

"I bet that is it. Remember last year when he stopped? He got in so much trouble" Matt got into a huge fight and got suspended for almost a month just because a guy was talking to me. He gets really jealous over that stuff. He is okay at first, but then he just gets terrible. 

"I have to go look for him. I'll see you later" I get up and run my hands through my hair. 

"Be careful at least. He looked pissed a little while ago" Celeste smiles up at me. 

"I will" was the last thing I said to her before I sprinted towards the last place I saw him. I wasn't watching where I was going and ran into a hard wall. Scratch that. A person. Not any person though, Alec. 

"Oh my god! I am so sorry. I wasn't looking" I rant looking at the ground my butt is now on. 

He extends his hand for me and I gladly take it. "It's okay. Off in a hurry, aren't we?"

"Um. Yeah." I turn and look behind me. "Well I have to go" I take a step back and turn around, but not before he grabbed my hand and I exploded. Not literally, Lol. I felt fireworks and a weird feeling in my stomach. Woah. 

I look at his hand, "Um do you need something?"

"Yeah sorry. Do you... maybe... I don't know, want to hang out after school?" He smiles at me and I can't help but to smile back. 

"Yeah. I'll get back at you. What's your next class?"

"English" 

"Same. I'll let you know" I try to walk away, but I forgot we were still holding hands. "Oh my bad" he laughs letting go.

"It's okay. Bye"

"Bye" 

I continue looking for Matt, but I can't find him. Anywhere. Where did he go? God I am a terrible person! How could I have not remembered that he was suppose to be taking pills? I'm terrible. 

I pull out my phone and text him. 

'Where are you Matt? I'm ready to talk'

Shit that was last bell. I gotta get going. He better text me during class or I swear I will hunt him down. He needs help. I head towards the English department of the school and to my surprise Alec was standing next to the door. 

"Hey"

I smile at him. He's so cute. Call me a slut if you want, but damn he is fine. "Hi"

"I was waiting for you"

"Me?"

He laughs his gorgeous laugh and I smile, "Yes you"

"Why?"

"So we can sit next to each other. Is that okay?"

All I do is nod my head and go into class. I walk to my seat in the back and get my binder out. Alec sits at the empty desk next to me. A smile comes across my face when I look at him. 

He's wearing dark washed jeans, a green stripped t-shirt, and some black vans. And his hair is just...OMG! I could run my hands through it all night. I can see his defined stoma-

"What? Did you say something?" Alec was now staring at me and smirking. 

"What. No. Psh. Me?" I let out an embarrassed laugh. 

"You sure? Sounded like you were checking me out" he leans closer to me "But it's fine because I was for sure checking you out" I blush and put my head down. 

Oh my Gurd! He said he was checking me out. Yes! Wait. Why? I'm nothing special and he oh so clearly is. 

"So about after school... you in?" I don't know. Should I go with him or should I look for Matt. My hearts telling me one thing and my heads telling me another. 

"Tomorrow? I have some... things to work out" 

"Count on it" He gives me one last smile and turns back to the front and so do I.

What have I gotten myself into?
