Flashback
4 year old you was sitting under a tree as you were hugging your knees close to your chest with your face burried on it. As the sun was about to setting, a boy then arrived holding different kinds of flowers and a basket with fruits inside. Upon seeing the young girl, he immediately beamed as he called out for her attention, "Yuanmi!"
You looked up at him with slightly teary eyes, and he immediatelly became alarmed and ran to your side as he placed everything he was holding down so he can hug you. He didn't know yet the reason what was wrong but as always, he has the urge to comfort you. "What's wrong?" he asked as he rubbed your back gently. "Mom..a-and.. Dad.. fought.." you whimpered as you clutched on his shirt.
"And?" he asked as he waited for you to continue. "Mom.. Mom wants us to move away from Dad for a bit.. Just the two of us.." you continued as you sniffled. Luhan immediately softened, he already knew how close you were to your parents. And surely, if you were to be separated from any of them, there is no doubt that you will really feel hurt and down. "Yuanmi~" he then cooed as he made you look at him. He was smiling. Smiling so softly and angelically. "Don't cry~ Luhannie doesn't like. He feels like crying too." he continued as his eyes eventually turned a bit sad once he saw tears was already rolling down her cheeks. He brought his hand up and wiped her tears away gently with his thumb.
You looked down and then you remembered what your Dad have said to your Mom..
"You know what? I think you're the reason why she is being like this! If only you don't tell her too much of your fantasy or fairytale stories! Look at her! She have been starting to keep on talking about a Luhan guy. A guys who comes to her room before sunset to play with her and brings her to 'Neverland'!"
Indeed, you were just 4 years old. But you already understood what your parents have been arguing about. Though not fully, because you can't undertand.. 'Why?'
'Why? Is it a bad thing to talk about someone who makes you happy?'
'Why? Is it bad to go have fun?' 'Why? Is it forbidden to have friends?'
Luhan was your only friend. When you go to school, you were often ignored by the other kids. But you didn't mind though, because there is someone actually waiting for you to come home so you two can play.
Silence was all there is around you and Luhan. But you broke it after, once you had calmed down from sobbing.
"Luhannie?"
"Yes?"
"Will you promise me something?" you asked as you looked up at him. He blinked thrice before nodding as he said, "Ofcourse. What is it though?"
"Can you please promise that you will wait for me? I promise that i'll come back!"
"I will." he answered as he patted your head. "But.. I'm not sure when I will come back though.. I'm not sure how long it'll take." you admitted as you rubbed your eyes. It was getting dark. "Don't worry. I'll wait for you.. I'll wait patiently until you come back here. In Neverland, to join me, Alright?" he stated with a smile and you nodded.
You smiled back at him and raised your small pinky towards him, and he raised his. The two of you intertwined your pinky fingers before you both let your thumbs touch. "Promise."
After that, Luhan then brought you back to your room. You were already sleepy so he helped you up to get your bed. Still smiling, Luhan ruffled your hair as he tucked you in as always.
He hummed you a soft tune, and you drifted off to sleep in an instant. Silently, he took the notepad that he saw on your small nightstand along with a pencil. After thinking for a while, he decided to write something on it.
"Yuanmi~~
Remember to keep your promise, alright?
I'll be waiting for you! Remember that..
Neverland will be waiting for you as well..
We'll miss you for sure.. But i'm sure if we wait long enough..
It'll be worth it.. because.. its you. :)

He peeled the letter off the notepad, and went towards your closet. Upon opening it, he carefully placed aside the boxes underneath it and there was a small compartment at the bottom. He opened it gently and folded the letter before placing it inside. He placed everything back to where it was supposed to be and straightened up as he closed your closet.
Luhan knew.. that it will be a long wait.. that there are possibilities that you will eventually forget.. but he trust you. He knows that only you and him actually knows about that 'small compartment' at the bottom of you closet. You once told him that it was for emergency purposes.. like when you were out and he comes to play with you.. or something else close to that..
But after that particular day, your mom had already packed some of your things up. As you two were to leave the next day without you knowing.
