fashioned from true events
you asked me what my favorite season was
I told you I didn't have one
because I liked them all for different reasons, so I couldn't pick
you told me yours was fall
I said I liked autumn too
then you twisted my words and said that my favorite was fall
I repeated that I didn't pick favorites
you again said that it was
I asked why it mattered
you said we needed to have something in commonthat was my trigger.
we had been for months and you thought we needed something in common
so whatever we had in the beginning was gone now and we had finally admitted itand now I've picked a favorite season
it's spring
full of life not death
new beginnings not the end
the opposite of how I felt with you
and the opposite of fall
