* beep beep *
" Charging.... five hundred... clear! " a male voice echos.
Five hundred volts jolted towards my heart.
" Heart rhythm is still abnormal, Doc. "
" Bump it up to six hundred. " a female voice roared.
" Charging.... six hundred... clear! "
Six hundred volts is blasted on my chest.
I should be dead by now. What would be the odds of even having a slim chance to be alive after taking five lead bullets to the chest? I guess God is trying to give me a miracle. It's not the only one he's given me. I should've died years ago. Whether it was gang affiliated, a failed drug drop, or robbery gone wrong. It seem like God always made sure I continue to walk on this Earth.
" Doc, it's not working. "
All I hear is the constant rushing mixed with different beeps and commotion.
" Do eight hundred volts. "
I find myself in the same dark space. It's silent. I feel dehydration. I'm drained. I can't squeeze out any energy to even stand. A light beams towards the northeast direction. I crawl and a fountain appear. I crawled my way to the exterior of the fountain. It's filled with crisp, clear water. I consumed handfuls of water repeatedly. The water started to change color into a bloody red hue.
" Ew, what the hell. Oh my God. "
I fell back from the fountain.
" Are you returing to your father, Desmond? " the thunderous voice spoke.
" Father forgive your son. Stretch your arms with forgiveness. I've let my anger get the best of me. "
I get on my knees, pleading for another chance of life.
" Charging.... eight hundred... clear! "
I released a huge breath.
" HE'S ALIVE! THE HEART RATE IS NORMAL! " the doctor yelled out.
" GET HIM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM NOW! RIGHT NOW! "
