  **Elub's POV**

It's been a month since the murdering. I saw it on the news, and they reported that the man killed many parents, then.... took advantage of their children. The police found the bodies, and claimed it was a murder-suicide. I got lucky that the cops here are shitty. They never look deep into the crime. They did find me, and ended up sending me to a orphanage.

The room I got was shitty, but I excepted that. I had to share a room with a smallish girl. She wore black clothing, and always had her hoodie. I kinda felt bad for her. I never really saw her smile, unless someone else in the orphanage tripped or something. She has my type of humor. I like that.

"Hey, I'm Elub.", I said. Trying not to look like a total jerk, I put my hand out so we could shake hands.

"Call me, EJ. And I don't do... touching." she replied. I shrugged it off, and we started talking. She had a pretty dark past, but I felt better that I wasn't the only one struggling. I mean, I might have acted like it didn't faze me, but honestly. I fell like I can cry for hours on end, and drown myself in my own tears.

EJ and I got along pretty well. We talked about anime, and video games. She actually knew a lot about it, and even recommended some stuff. She helped me forget everything... and I felt kinda happy that I got a cool friend to share a room with.

**EJ's POV**

I was sitting in my room, drawing, when the care takers brought a strange girl in, saying I had to share rooms with her. She seemed pretty.. off. Her facial expression was blank, and the only thing that stood out was her huge eyes. She kinda reminded me of an anime character.

"Hey, I'm Elub.", she said. She stuck her hand out for a handshake. I guess this will determine if she is worth being friends with or not.

"Call me, EJ. And I don't do... touching.", I replied, hoping that didn't sound weird. She shrugged and acted like that never happen. She didn't even force a handshake or questioned. I decided maybe she wasn't that bad after all.

We began having conversations about our past, and our interests. She seem like she wasn't fazed at all from her past. It kinda shocked me.

We ended up hitting it off, and became friends. Today wasn't half bad.
