Will, who's gaze had been cast downwards, looked up at Hannibal. He wasn't even sure if he was awake. Was he going to wake up any moment now and find that he was still in his bed? That he had been sleepwalking this entire time?
"Are you getting tired of me already? Finally decided i'm a hopeless case? Too unstable. "
The corners of Hannibal's lips pulled up into a small smile. "I haven't given up on you, Will. Nor am I planning to. Besides, you are not a case. We are simply having conversations. " No, Will was far too interesting to simply stop seeing. He wanted to help him, and yet he wanted to maintain control over both Will and the situation. He couldn't have anyone finding out about him. Not yet.
"So why do I feel like you're the only person who can switch on the lights in my head? Everyone else thinks there must be a power shortage."
"Because I understand you, Will. I am your friend more than your psychiatrist."
Will simply remained silent, watching Hannibal quietly.
"You should stay here tonight, Will. I would not feel all that comfortable with allowing you to make your way home. Not in the condition that you are in." Hannibal suggested, breaking the silence.
"I don't think that is necessary." Will replied.
"Perhaps not, but I do advise it. What would Jack say if he found out I had put you at risk?" Hannibal insisted, allowing his hand to fall from Will's skin before he straightened up.
Will sighed softly, only nodding in return.
"Excellent. You may sleep in the spare room. My room is only down the hall. I have already eaten, but if you would like something-" He was interrupted by Will.
"I'm fine, thank you."
"Very well. " Hannibal made his way to his seat. Their session still had half an hour left.
