Part 3
Harry’s POV
We are meeting at this little café in town. As I was getting out of my car, my phone vibrated. It was management. “You have reservations under Styles.” I go in and check in. The hostess leads me to my table of two. Great, I’m already getting looks. Soon there will be a scream. Soon, someone will come up to me and ask for a picture or autograph. It’s not bad all the time... but I don’t want it. Not today. No one should see me with her.
I see the hostess leading a girl to me. She takes a seat and says, “Hey, I’m Meg.”
Meg’s POV
I sit down across from Harry. I know the date is fake... but I’m nervous. He’s gonna like me no matter what and we’re gonna look happy and in love to the public... so why am I worried? We start talking and laughing and (to me) it seems so genuine. He asks to hear stories from my childhood and I tell him some awkward ones... some bad ones.... and some good ones. We can’t even mention to each other that this is fake because what if someone hears? What if someone records it?
A fan comes up with her mom and asks for a picture. Harry is so nice to his fans. He smiles next to her and she looks so very happy. I heard the little girl say, very quietly, “That girl you’re with is very pretty.” Harry smiles and says, “She’s my girlfriend. She is very beautiful.” They walk back to their table.
Harry sits down again and he says, “So, erm, you’re ready to go public tomorrow, babe?” Butterflies flutter in my stomach. He seems so genuine, and it makes me sad that this isn’t real. I just have to keep telling myself that this can’t be real... this won’t ever be real... I hope it can be real... but it’s not real. Not real. Not real.
