     Dear Diary,

It was Monday. The day of auditioning. I was still in shock over my friend dying. Every single news channel, station, and website told different stories how she died. Some say she overdosed. Some that she drowned in the pool. The most terrifying of them all was that we was murdered. She was found floating in the swimming pool. No witnesses have said anything. I don't remember seeing her at all after she started drinking.

I went into the audition on the verge of tears. My agent said to just shake it off, get my head in the game. I tried. They told me I was audition for the lead role who was a popular teen that had a bit of a dark side.

I brought out all my emotions of angry into it. I tried to be like all the popular seniors at my school who hated me for some odd reason. I channeled all my emotions that I have bottle up in the past five years and just let it out.

Three days later I was sitting on my couch buried in a pile of food, pillows, and blankets. I was watching Gossip Girl when my phone rang. I got the part. When I left they didn't look at anyone else.

That's when I said to myself, " I have to get over Jenny. I have to live my life. This is what she would've wanted." I called my mom next to tell her the good news.

" Hi sweetie!" she said with a warm glow that I could feel through the phone.

" Hey mom. How's dad and everyone?" I ask.

" We are all great over here. How are you doing? Do you need anything from home dear. I'm making a run to the post office if you want me to ship anything."

" I'm good. Actually, I called because I just got the lead in a new movie." A loud scream comes next as well as my mother screaming, " BERT! OUR DAUGHTER IS A MOVIE STAR!"

     " Mom!" I say through a laugh. " I'm not a movie star."

" You most certainly are. One movie down then another one pops up. You better promise me that this fame won't go to your head. And that you will be home for Christmas."

" I promise. I love to talk more, but my agent is calling right now. I'll call you later?"

" Please do." I hung up the phone and called my agent back.

" Can you meet me for lunch in fifteen minutes?" he asked. Not even a hello.

     " Yeah sure where."

" Little Italy." He hung up on me. This was strange. He wasn't his usual happy self. I ran upstairs and started to my make-up. Little Italy was right down the hill and would take me ten minutes to get too. Plus my agent, Liam, was always late. Once I was done with natural make-up look I throw on a tank top and yoga pants. I slip into my neon blue sneakers and head outside to my car waiting for me.

Liam was sitting right outside look at the wine list. He smiles and stands as he sees me walk past the  fence. " Hey Jack."

" Hi Liam. What was so important that you had to see me immediately?" I asked as I opened the menu.

" What? I can't have lunch with my favorite client?" I look up at him from my menu. He never uses the word favorite. He may like me the most, but I'm not his favorite. That and he only has lunch with me when we need to talk about something serious.

" Sure. What are you going to order?" I ask. I'm ordering spaghetti and meatballs cause personal I'm not that hungry and I just want to know what he needs to tell me.

" Veal Parmesan. What about you?"

" Spaghetti and meatballs." I place the menu down on the table and the waiter comes almost immediately.

" Hello I'm Lex I'll be your server today. Can I get you anything to drink?" our waiter asked.

" Actually I think we are ready to order." I say. Liam clenches his jaw a little bit, but I don't care. He is acting strange. Stranger than usual. We ordered and the waiter left.

" Alright. I have asked you to come here because I have a very important question to ask you." He took a long sip of water and then continued. " They are ruling Jenny's death as a homicide. I came to ask if you had anything to do with this? Did you see anything? Do you remember anything?" I thought back to that night. It was all such a blur by now. I didn't know anyone would want to hurt her. She left me halfway through the night. And then I woke up.

" No I didn't have anything to do with this. I was at the party, but I lost track of her halfway through the night. Then I woke up and went home. " I left out the part about Danny. He could've just wanted everyone out so he could find his sister more easily. I also left out the part about her bedroom. Didn't seem important.

" And that's everything that happened?"

" Well no. I got up and went to look for Jenny the next morning. Then I was kinda kicked out."

" By whom?" Liam was now basically on the edge of his seat, halfway over the table.

" By her brother, Danny." He sat back in his seat, just as the food arrived. Before we started eating he asked me one more thing.

" Would you be comfortable saying this in front of a judge." I was shocked that Liam was actually going to let me do this. This could strength or damage my career. But I did nothing wrong.

" Yes." I say at last.

" I promise all of this will be private."

" When will the trial be?"

" Next month. The lawyers will probably try to talk to you before. From now on you don't talk to anyone without talking to me first. Do you understand?"

" Yes of course." He smiles as he digs into his food. I had lost my appetite and ate only small bites of my food. My stomach and mind we're turning over in every direction. I had just got past all of this and here it was blowing up in my face.

That was the first moment where I wished I was a normal teenager again.
