So.. the drive.. it wasn't bad at all. It was actually quite okay. Nothing seemed awkward between us, we just talked about whatever had came to mind. It seemed as though we had never lost our friendship. We remembered every single detail about all the times we spent together. "So.. Warped was awesome yesterday, huh?" he questioned, pulling me directly back to reality. "Yeah.. it was great, just pretty hot." He nodded his head in agreement. As we had gotten closer to Brady's, I was already fearing losing Timmy again for the second time. But why? I had no reason to. It seemed as though yesterday would just be remembered as a one night stand. Only because I knew.. he wasn't staying in Indiana forever. I didn't want him to go.. but it was happening soon. "Hey, Wen?" he asked? "Uh, yeah?" "I'm sorry that happened earlier.. I know you don't like that type of shit happening." "What do you mean?" "I know you don't like when people question you over the stupidest of things.. it was my fault, I shouldn't of said anything." "Don't worry about it.. They're your fans.. Like you said.. They just wanna know if their facts are right. Your still a single little bitch boy." I laughed. He smiled, looking back at me. "God dammit, Wen.. you spend way to much time around Brady." I shrugged my shoulders, giggling a bit. "I hope you get to come on tour with us.. or come see a show this summer." "I told you I'd think about.. I'd really love to, but I still have school to tend to like Jordan." "I know.. that's what sucks about it." He sighed. "Why does it suck? You get to travel every where, while I'm stuck at home with Andy." "Because, I just miss spending time with you.. And you know.. Just having you around to listen to my music. I know this entire day hasn't been the best, but.. it's not like I ever forget about the fun times we had. I never wanted to lose you.. everything just sort of happened and fell directly into place. I couldn't stop it." "Timmy, don't worry about it.. everything is just a simple past memory.. they don't matter anymore. Whatever happened.. happened. We're back together now.. Those two awkward years of nothing are just stupid memories."
Timmy
I didn't find those two years to be stupid memories at all. But her opinion was hers, and let me tell you.. I wasn't about to fight her out on it. "It's true.. we are back together, haha! But, seriously Wen.. you have to come on tour with us, please! Just forget about school.. it can wait!" "Timmy, you can't not care that much if I came to one of your shows, I mean come on! School is a lot more important to me than your show. You know I love your music, but-" "Wendy, please. One show.. that's all I ask." I pleaded, leaning back against the seat. "Are you going to take no for answer?" "Of course not." "Fine, Timmy! I'll go to ONE show." That pretty much took enough to get me smiling and way over excited. Having my old friend, see my new music was just awesome. I just sort of hoped nothing got in the way of it. You know something will happen; whether its a stupid excuse.. or just someone from Late Nite Reading ruining a good time. And yes.. both Clayton and Brady.. they'd have something planned for this occasion. I just wish I knew what it was they were to do. If anything I just hoped they'd stay away from us. They were amazing at ruining a relationship/friendship for me. I hated it so much. Wendy was one friendship I would never be willing to lose. It happened once and I can't let it happen again. It's way too risky.. She's too special. I mean friendship wise.. nothing else. I got off the car, pulling the key out of the ignition and stepped over to open the door for Wendy. She seemed quite annoyed by the fact I had just convinced her into going to one of my gigs, but.. She was one person that would always support me through my music whether I had to force her to or not. I shut the door behind her as she headed toward Brady's front door. I caught up, jogging up behind her, pushing the flippy hair out of my face. "Back already?" Brady questioned sarcastically, looking up and winking up at me. "Shut up." I gritted through my teeth, purposely bumping into him when I went in. "Pushy I see.." He commented. I just glared at him ignoring the obvious fact he was trying to piss me off. "Timmy, I have to go.." I cleared out of my glaring, my eyes directly looking over to hers. "But...its still early.. Can't you stay a little longer?" "Timmy has a crush.." Brady sang, under his breath as he passed me, just enough time to give me to pinch his nipple. "Ow.." He muttered, rubbing above his shirt. I smirked as he continued on into the other room, complaining about how much it hurt. "I know, but.." "Stay a little longer.. please, Wendy.. I'll play you an acoustic version of your favorite song.." She smiled, her cheeks turning a faint red at the words. "It's tempting.." "Then stay.." I begged. She groaned, her beautiful eyes, shining with happiness. "I hate how you always do this Timmy." "Do what?" "You always have to bribe me." "If it works I'll use it." "I hate that you do." "You know you love my angelic voice." I teased. "It's not that irresistible." "You know that's a lie. You love my voice. Just admit it." "Oh, and what if I don't?" "I'll cry and go lay on Brady and wait for him to cheer me up. Oh, and lets not forget the part where I continuously follow you around with my guitar." "You wouldn't." "I would. Don't doubt it." "Okay, Timmy.. You win. I'll stay." I smiled in victory once again, pulling her by the hand into the spare room I had been staying in. She took her own liberty and sat on the edge of the bed as I went over grabbing my guitar that leaned perfectly against the dresser. There I sat down on the edge next to her; keeping my distance.
Wendy
I sat there in silence on the edge of the messy blanket, as his fingers and guitar pick slid swiftly against his strings. I had fallen for his tricks again. I hated how that happened, but his voice really was irresistible. Especially when you've never heard a live acoustic version. It was literally the most angelic voice you never thought existed. The words slipped passed his lips like ocean waves crashing against the shore. It was picture perfect, but a scene you just wanted to stay away from. I know my comparisons don't have that much sense to them, but you get my point. It was irresistible and that's that. "How the hell did you ever pick me? Honestly, cause I could you sing you a song, but I don't think words can express you beauty..." I hope you know those lyrics, because that song is just too beautiful to not have listened to by now.
As his fingers shook, his breathing at a heavy pace, he looked up smiling, and pushing his hair back out of his face to where you could see his eyes glimmering with excitement. "How was that?" He questioned, his voice cracking slightly. "That was.. Perfect. How did you remember?" "It's been two years Wen.. It's like you expect me to forget everything." "Well.." "I'd never forget your favorite song of all people. C'mon.." He lied his guitar carefully on the bed, sitting in silence. "Happy now, Timmy? Your voice has probably gotten me in trouble with my parents by now.." "I am happy.. You knew you couldn't resist. Besides, that's what friends do.." "Yeah Timmy, friends love when they get yelled at by their parents. Especially a day after Warped." "You'll be fine Wen.. I'll take you home myself." "But.. I drove myself here.." "So? I can walk." "You don't need to." "But, I want to." I rolled my eyes, standing up, and grabbing his hand to pull him up. "I can drive Timothy." "We all know I'm the better driver." "You're not better at everything that I do Timmy!" "You don't know that." he teased, looking down at me. "Height doesn't count.." I muttered. He just laughed, his footsteps already heard down the hallway. "I'll be back Brady, I'm gonna go take this little kid home." "I'm 5'4 Timmy! God dammit.." I groaned, passing him up towards the door. I could hear him silently chuckling behind me. I didn't really get the chance to open the door before, he closed it shut, leaving me to turn toward him as he held his hand out. "Keys. Give them to me." He ordered. "Make me. I told you I can drive. You don't need to take m-" "Hush your mouth; give me the keys." I mumbled under my breath as I forced the keys out of my pocket and into his hand. "Thank you." He replied, letting his hand off door and letting me out into the night that was already passed a fading sunset.
