"Miss Castleton, that's detention another week for you!" Mrs. Young yelled. I had been talking in class again.
It's not my fault I wanted to hear the drama between Katie and her boyfriend right this second.
Mrs. Young had given me a weeks worth of detention for the third time since school started. And it was only for talking out of turn.
"Mrs. Young...Sarah, if I may, that's very impossible. You see, I have cheer tryouts after school all week and unless you would like to talk to Coach Daniels about the situation, I suggest you kindly back off," I responded, with a keen smile in my face. Her face went red with anger.
"Fine. Then your free period will be spent in this classroom for the next week," she turned back to the board and continued writing the notes we were supposed to write down. But everyone was either on their phones or sleeping.
My free period was the next one so I simply stayed in my seat. After everyone had filed out of the classroom, I noticed a boy sitting alone in the front corner of the classroom.
"Hey!" I said. He lifted his head and turned around. He was kind of cute.
"Why haven't I seen you before?" I asked crossing my legs and paying attention to my nails. They were perfect, granted, but I didn't want to seem too curious.
"Because you're Margo Castleton," He replied confidently, annoyance evident in his voice.
"What does that prove?" I asked.
"Because you're the M-margo Castleton and Margo Castleton doesn't p-pay attention to p-people like me." Aw, he was getting shy.
"Why're you in here, stud?" I moved to sit on top of the desk.
"I c-cussed out a teacher-er. Stupid Mr. Barnes c-commented on my mothers p-parenting." My jaw dropped. He didn't seem like he would swear at all, much less at a teacher. He wore a pair of skinny jeans, black high top Chucks and a gray and black long sleeved polo shirt. His big glasses were perched on the bridge of his nose and his hair was up in a messy quiff. But he strangely pulled it off.
"Well, you don't look the type to call a teacher out on that kind of stuff." I began walking up to sit in the seat next to him.
"I'm not the type he just pissed me off." He mumbled and waved his hand and slunk back in his chair, his fingers drumming a strange beat on the desk in front of him.
"What's your name, Stud?" I asked.
"Justin. Justin Bieber," he scowled.
"I still can't believe I haven't seen you before. You're cute," I leaned back in the desk, like him, and crossed my legs. I noticed his cheeks burn at my compliment.
"You're not too bad yourself, Margo Castleton." I smiled.
Justin and I sat in silence the rest of the hour while he finished his work. When the bell rang, I got up to pick my stuff up.
"Same time tomorrow, Stud?" I asked. His cheeks burned again as he nodded. As I walked out of Mrs. Young's classroom, I stuck my phone in the back pocket of my high waisted jeans and felt his eyes burning into me.
"Keep your eyes up, Stud," I called without looking back. I heard him begin to cough and smirked.
A Week Later -Lunch
"Hey, babe. Why didn't I get to see you during free period this whole week? I missed you," Ryan came up from behind me. I was walking in the halls alone on the way to my car.
