Chapter 23

~Cats POV~

~The Next Morning~

I woke up at 6:00am thanks to Usher. Ugh! I hate waking up early. For some reason i feel like today is gonna be emotional. Usher told me to go to his house with Darlene. I woke up Darlene.

"Darlene wake up!" I yelled at her. She threw a pillow at me. "Darlene if you dont wake up imma put whip cream on your face!" I threaten her. "Ok im up! Now what do you want? Whats so important you have to wake me up at *checks her phone* 6AM!" She yelled the last part. "Usher wants us to go to his house right now!" I told her. I got a text from Usher. It said.

"Come in pajamas! Idc just bring the dresses and extra clothes."

Wow ok. We got up and brushed our teeth. We grabbed our phones and left to Ushers.

~Ushers house~

"DAYUM! This place is huge!" Said Darlene. "I know right!" We got out the car and knocked on the door. By the way Darlene got invited to the MMVA's. Austin is a nominee in one of the categories so he wanted to take Darlene as his date. We will both be walking the red carpet!

Usher opened the door. He greeted us and welcomed us to his home. We went to the living room and there was a beautiful lady sitting down.

"Cat, Darlene this is my wife Tameka." He introduced us. "Hi nice to meet you! Im Cat and this is my best friend Darlene." I said. "Hi nice to meet you to!" Darlene said shaking Tamekas hand. "You both are so lovely and Cat! Its nice to finally meet you! Usher talks about you all the time. He says your and amazing singer and dancer." She told me. "Really? Thats so sweet. And yeah im a Dancer, Singer, Model, and photographer." I said. "My friend here is also a Photographer, Dancer and Model." I added. "Oh yeah usher told me she was an incredible dancer!" She told Darlene. We ate some breakfast and chat for a little while. Tameka is so funny and really nice. When we were done Usher told us that Tameka is gonna get us ready for the MMVA's. Usher had to go to sound check and rehearsals.

"Ok girls since MMV's start at 6:00 pm we have a lot of time to get yall ready. You have to be walking the red carpet at 6:10pm so c'mon go take a shower, put on yalls clothes. Did you bring your dresses?" She told us.

"Um i brought clothes but not a dress." Darlene said.

"Oh dont worry thats why im here. C'mon i let you borrow a dress." Tameka replied. We walked to her room and into her closet. It was huge! We looked around and Darlene found a dress she liked. It was a red 1 strap dress that reached up to mid thigh. Red really looks good on her. Anyways we went up stairs and we got in the shower. When we were done, we changed in to shorts and a shirt. We went down stairs in to the living room. We see Tameka and another woman. "Hey girls! This is my friend Tess. She is a friend of mine who is gonna help me get yall ready for the MMVA's." Tameka told us. "Hi nice to meet you!" Me and Darlene told Tess. She shook our hands. "Ok whos ready to get started?" Said Tess. We just laughed and headed to the guest room upstairs. Tameka an Tess grabbed their supplies for our hair and make up. They came in. First they did my our hair. My hair was curled and to the side with my side bangs straighten. Darlene's hair was straighten and her bangs to the side. It took 2 hours for our hair to be done. By the time we were done with our hair it was 3 in the afternoon. They did our make up. Tess and Tameka both thought me and Darlene had natural beauty so they didn't put on a lot of make up. When they were done with the make up it was 4:50pm. 2 more hours till we walk the red Carpet. He haven't eaten all day so Tess went to Jack in the box. She got us tacos. Then Darlenes phone starts ringing. She answered. I heard who she was talking to. It was Austin. And also heard the conversation.

D- hey baby! I miss you!

A- miss you to!

D- aww so whats up?

A- is Cat with you?

D- yeah she is right next to me.

A- ok put me on speaker.

D- k.

*on speaker.*

A- Cat?

Me- yeah?

A- Darlene?

D- yeah?

A- ok so i was thinking since Cat doesnt have a date to the MMVA's i was wondering if she could come with us Darlene.

D- um sure so now you have 2 dates to the MMVA's!

Me- Um i dont know. I dont wanna ruin your date with Darlene.

A- oh c'mon your my friend and i love you! I dont like seeing you lonely. Pweeess!!

Me- hahaha ok!

A- yay! I got 2 dates!! Ok pick yall up at 5:50pm.

Me and D- ok bye! Love ya!

A- love y'all to.

Darlene hung up. "Are you ok with this?" I asked her. "Yeah im ok with it! Its gonna be so much fun! Specially cause your gonna be with me." She told me. "Haha ok lets get our dresses on." I said. We walked in to our closets. We got out our dresses and put them on. We helped each other zip em up. We looked in the mirror and we smiled. We look beautiful. Tameka and Tess came in. "Omg! You look beautiful." Tameka told us. We thanked her. It looks like she was almost crying. "Are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah im alright its just that i always wanted to have daughters and i never did. Dont get me wrong i love my sons but just being with you 2 it was a dream come true." She replied. "Awww well we will always be your pretend daughters." We hugged her. "Thank you for what you did today for us!" We added as we also hugged Tess. "You are so welcome." Said Tess. We checked out phones to see if they were charged all the way and to check the time. They were charged all the way and it was 5:40pm. Austin will be here in 10 min. We waited for 10 min and Austin arrived. We hugged and kissed Tess and Tameka bye. We greeted Austin and got in the limo. The driver took us to the red carpet. We arrived in 20 min.

The MMVA's is starting!! What is going to happen! Will Cat be asked about Justin? Will justin find out soon that Cat will be opening for him?
