Florida, is where my family picked for us to live. Which is totally easy to understand because we live only 5 minutes from the beach. The thing is I'm not a beach person....... I stick to the pools.

I just moved to Orange Beach, Florida. I mean I guess its okay, but I would

rather be in Colorado right now. " I think there is a public pool on Elk Street Kat, you should go make new friends,". My mom said. "Ummm, okay if you need me I will be down there," I replyed. By the time I finally found Elk Street it was about 4:30. The first thing I see is the high dive, I headed directly headed for it. When I was on the top I noticed that the life-gaurd was staring at me. I quicky turned my head the other way. He couldn't be looking at me........could he......No...never in my wildest dreams would a boy that cute be looking at me. Before I knew it I felt someone push me, I hit the water with a huge crash. Instantly I felt a pain in my head. The last thing I remebered was looking up out of the water and watching. the light fade from my eyes.

The next time I opened my eyes I saw the life-gaurd. I coughed up water, and I felt like I had fire in my lungs. Then I noticed there was crowd around me. "She's okay," the life-gaurd yelled. I looked stright in his face, he looked young maybe 17. I also noticed he had green eyes. "Wh......What......What happened....?" I asked him. You fell off the high dive, and was knocked out,". I sat up, and he handed me his hand out to help me up. I took it. "Well thanks...,.umm...for..you know.....saveing my life,". "Hey no problem,". "Im Cade," " Im Kat". "Well, Kat what school do you go to?" "Oh, Cali High" " You know we just met right?" " Yes, but this could our chance to get to know each other". "Okay see you at school...I guess". Right after that I left the pool, I looked back at the same time Cade did and he winked. I thought to myself " I just about died, jumped a high dive, and made a new friend all within 1 hour,". This will be a crazy year.
