I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm beeping, was it Monday already? I unlocked my phone to find 4 missed calls and 7 texts. They were all from Cade. I looked into to my closet and picked out a Twenty-One Piliots shirt and some black jeans with slits at the knees. I droped off Kinsley fastly then I rushed to school. I really don't know why I was rushing so much. I finally stepped out of my car, as I was walking someone showed up beside me. I noticed him from group of guys who threw me down last week. I only remebered his face beacuse when the other jerks were laughing at me, he was the only one who wasn't. "Hey Kat" "Hey?" "I just wanted to say that I was extremely sorry about what my jerk friends did to you" "Why are you even friends with them?" " I really don't know." I could tell by the way his eyes were filled with sadness that he was truly sorry for me. "Whats your name?" I asked. "Lucas" "Well Lucas it was very nice to meet you". I walked away after that. Lucas's eyes reminded me of the stars on the beach, they were so ice blue that they were almost clear. He also had light brown hair that matched his eyes perfectly.

It was 4th period lunch now, and I was in line to get a salad. I was on my way to sit with Maddie and Katie when Cade walked right in front of me to stop me in my tracks. I looked down and tried to pass him. "Excuse me" I said as I kept looking down. "You know you can't avoid me forever" "I can try". By the time I had said that I was looking right into his big green eyes. "Kat I just want to help you" "You cant help me". After a minute or two I walked around him. I finally sat down a the table with my friends. "What was that all about?" Maddie asked." Nothing really" "It seemed like nothing" Katie said sarcasticly. "Come on. Everyone knows that you and Cade Stevens are perfect for each other!" "I don't really think he likes me so much" "Your like all he ever talks about!" Was

I really always on his mind? I doubt it. He is most likely already hitting on another girl."Can we just not talk about Cade?" I asked. "Whatever" "Hey Kat I saw you talking to that kid Lucas, are you guys friends?" Maddie said with a smile on her face. "Ya, I guess. He's pretty cool". "More like he's kinda hot, if I do say so myself!" Then the bell rang for us to go to 5th period. "See you guys later," "Bye Kat!".

I was opening my car door when I got a text from someone.

TEXT MESSAGES:

Lucas: hey kat!

Kat: hey lucas!

Lucas: wrud?

Kat: at a stop sign...

Lucas:oh okay..wrud later?

Kat: nothing why?

Lucas: just wondering

Kat: oh okay

Then the light turned green and I drove across the 4 way stop looking directly at my phone. Right when I was in the middle of the 4 ways stop I heard a huge horn honk then I felt my head spining in circles. Next thing I knew I was upside down in my car. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. The light started fading in and out of my eye sight. Sooner or later it was all black.

CADES POINT OF VEIW:

I had so many thoughts running through my mind. Like for example, Why wasn't Kat answering my calls? I knew she was avoiding me, but it wasn't like her to not even read my texts. I wanted to get my mind off her but I couldn't....she is all I ever think about. All I ever talk and dream about. She is so perfect but she can't see that, she compares herself to everyone else. I turned on the t.v. and watched the sports channel for a few minutes then turned it to the news. I left the room and went to the kithen. I was grabbing a bowl when I heard the reporter say "...and now a emergcey report. Teenager Kathrine Lizza Parker is knocked out and has severe injurys. The cause? A 18 wheeler rammed into the side of her car. In other news....". I dropped the bowl and ran out the door. How could Kat be in a car wreck? Was s he going to be okay? Was she going to die? How could she not see a huge 18 wheeler right beside her? I needed the answers to all of these questions. I drove as fast as I could to the wreck site. I couldn't see her but I saw a large crowd of police and people in a circle with their backs to me. I pushed trough the crowd and finally saw Kat. She was covered in blood. I wondered how that much blood could be in 1 tiny girl. Before I knew it I was by her side and had tears running down my face. "Kat....your going to be okay," I said to her body that looked lifeless. "Sir, we need you to move," "Im not leaving her!" I yelled. "You can ride in the ambulance the whole way there".
