My Little Mulan

Chapter 1

It was a dark night in the land of Equestria, and on the Great Wall of Equestria, many pony guards were walking on it keeping a lookout for trouble. One of the pony guards with a brown coat, a blue mane, yellow eyes, and a red shield for his cutie mark was looking around when he his gold helmet was knocked off his head by a phoenix with vivid amaranth and luminous vivid gamboge feathers and light brilliant yellow eyes named Philomena. The phoenix landed on top of a white flag with a sun on it as the pony guard looked up at her. Philomena then let out a large cry, and on grappling hook came over the wall. The pony guard walked over to the edge, only to back up when he saw many more grappling hooks coming towards him. "We're under attack!" The pony guard said as he ran to the ladder. "Light the signal!" Suddenly two shadowbolts appeared. One shadow bolt had a dark blue mane, and the other had a dark green mane, and they tried to stop the pony guard, but he managed to climb up there just as the dark green-maned shadowbolt broke the ladder with a sword. The pony guard picked up the torch to light the cauldron only to stop to see a powerful unicorn with a black mane, brilliant scarlet eyes, wearing gray armor, and a red cape with white fur on it named King Sombra who appeared on the tower. The pony guard then threw the torch into the cauldron, lighting a huge fire. King Sombra watched as more pony guards lit up more cauldrons on each tower. "Now all of Equestria knows you're here." The pony guard said sternly. King Sombra then took a flag. held it to the fire, making it burn, smirked, and said "Perfect."

Inside the throne room in the castle in Canterlot, a pegasai pony with a two-toned moderate sapphire blue mane, vivid cornflower blue eyes, and a navy blue shield with a light yellow lightening bolt for his cutie mark named Flash Sentry walked into the room being followed by two pony guards with white coats, yellow manes, and moderate red eyes. They then bowed before the ruler of Equestria named Prince Solaris as Flash Sentry looked up at him, and said "Your majesty, the Shadowbolts have crossed our northern border." "Impossible!" a donkey named Cranky Doodle Donkey said. "No pony can through the Great Wall of Equestria!" Prince Solaris then motioned for Cranky Doodle Donkey's silence. "King Sombra is leading them." Flash Sentry said. "We'll set up defenses around your palace immedately." "No!" Prince Solaris said forcefully as he stood up from his throne. "Send your troops to defend my citizens of Equestria." He looked at his adviser, and said "Cranky Doodle Donkey." "Yes, your highness." Cranky Doodle said. As Prince Solaris walked towards Flash Sentry, he said "Deliver conscription notices through out all the provinces. Call up reserves and as many new recruits as possible." "Forgive me, your majesty, but I believe my troops can stop him." Flash Sentry said. Prince Solaris shook his head, and said "I won't take any chances, Flash Sentry. A single grain of rice can tip the scale. One pony may be the difference between victory and defeat." Flash Sentry reluctantly nodded in agreement.
