The Kitty Years - Part One

It's day 69 of my lifetime. But I've grown so fast and I've learned so fast. I'm new to this family. They have a modern house and everything. I mean, I've learned alot that I can even learn how to count how long I've lived ever since the fifth day. Well, I just keep track of how many times I've been fed. It's just the same, as my owners feed me once everyday. It's really comfortable here. I get my own bed, although I think it's too small. I just stay with my favorite person, Hayley. She's just 13 and I like to sleep on her bed. It's comfy and plushy and pink. Although I think her room is too girly, it looks bright to look at.

"Molly, get off the bed..." Hayley seemed tired.

I've only slept for a few hours. "I'm tired, too Hayley,"

"Don't meow at me like that," they call my language "meowing". I don't know why.

"Ugh, come on Molly. Molly..." she complained.

"Hayley..." I mocked her tone.

Whoa, whoa. Now she's carrying me. "You're getting heavy now, Molly." she said.

She carried me to the couch. I admit, the couch is also a good place to sleep at. But it may be kind of hairy. And it's kind of too soft that it's sinking me. Anyways, I just sleep.

When I wake up, Hayley is calling me. "Wake up Molly! My favorite movie is showing on TV!" Let's see. It's "Dear John". I can guess that's Hayley's favorite romance movie.

"Omigosh.. Channing is kind of cute!" I think Hayley's freaking out.

She picked me up and held me infront of the TV. The TV is kind of like 5 times as big as me and it's too bright. I complain.

"Hayley, put me down!"

"Does Channing look hot?" she doesn't seem to be minding me.

Hayley... you're squashing my ribs. "Give me a rating from one to ten! And stop meowing!"

I've had enough. The TV is burning my eyes and Hayley is holding me too tight. "HAYLEY!"

She finally put me down. Phew. I escape to her room, my private haven. I explore her room a bit. Hm, there's some photos of Hayley with some other friends, school announcements, some make-up stuff, a laptop, some school supplies and some other stuff I don't know. There's also this rectangular thing with some kind of white wavy thing inside. They call it "buk". I don't really know the name of that weird object, I just hope I get the pronunciation right. Nothing interesting, much, until I see a photo of a kitten that looks exactly like me. I mean, it looks like me. I stare a litle bit at it. I look at its arms and compare it with mine.

"Molly, there you are! Hey, you might drop your photo," she said while opening the door. She picked me up while I was trying to figure out that circular thing that has lines that points on numbers. The long line points between 7 and 6 and the small hand points at 2. "It's dinnertime, Molly."

"What's for dinner?"

"I'll put you down infront of your bowl, Molly," she said to me. Why do people never mind what I say? I mean, I ask something to them. They reply something else.

"Hayley?"

"Alright! Alright, stop meowing, the bowl is neeear..." Hayley replied.

She finally put me down infront of my bowl. Hm... this is new. They used to feed me biscuits that taste like fish. But this is new. I taste it anyway, it tastes alot like fish. "Is the salmon delicious, Molly?" Hayley said to me. It sure does taste good. I like this new thing. I finish my bowl in a few minutes.

A smell pulls me to the dining table. I climb it and find a delicious buffet of meals. But then, a bright orange light whizzes by. It lands on the other edge of the table. I investigate it. It's bright to the eye and it's cylindrical in shape. I read the letters and it says "N-E-R-F". I barely had time to check out the object more until I get hit in the chest by another one of these cylinders.

"BAM! I gotcha, Molly. Now get off the table!" Hayley held something in her hand that shoots out all these nerf stuff. She shot me again. I was mad at the objects. I pushed it around. It just stands there, apparently lifeless. "You're a strange girl, Hayley," a voice I do not know tells to Hayley.

"Who cares if girls use nerf guns?" Hayley replied to a boy, about Hayley's age, on the couch. "I swear to God I will shoot you Bryan," Hayley laughed, apparently flattered.

"Will you be my future girlfriend?" Bryan replied. Uh-oh.

Disgusting. As I was about to witness a romantic moment I dashed to Hayley's room. I decided I should investigate some stuff I've been missing on. I checked out the "photo" of a cat that looks exactly like me. Its eyes are closed. Maybe it was sleeping. Or maybe it was me sleeping! I think I remembered Hayley holding some shiny rectangle and when Hayley touched a red thing on the rectangle a bright white light came out. Hayley calls the shiny rectange "Ayfown". I admit it was kind of weird. But something else catches my attention. Those white, wavy things I've seen earlier, which Hayley calls "peypur", has my name in it. I think it's about my life or something. I read it, and apparently she only got like some of it correct. I also read about my mom. She calls my mom a "persian" but I think the correct spelling is "peershan". I read the top of the peypur. It says "School Essay Paper". I know school but I don't know the other two words. Maybe the last word should be peypur. Darn, Hayley spells so bad.

I just take a nap on Hayley's bed.

Day 71.

When I wake up, I find Hayley on the floor with Bryan. "Hey Molly, Bryan had a sleepover today."

"But it's a schoolday today. Remember? You said that Munndey was always a schoolday." I was confuzzled.

Hayley wasn't listening. "Will you sleepover tomorrow Bryan?"

"Hello? Hayley? I'm talking to you," Why does Hayley and all the other humans never listen?

"Molly meet Bryan, my best friend. He slept over today because we have no classes." I finally got Hayley's attention.

Bryan smiled at Hayley. "Probably next week, Hayley,"

I don't want to witness another of these "romance" moments. I head out the door and find that my bowl is empty. Darn, I'm hungry. I check out the table and see a bowl of colorful ... shapes? "Molly, you should eat a fruit. Apples are good for you, I'll slice one for you," Hayley said, walking towards me. So that's what they call the colorful shapes. "Ah-pel". She puts a slice of ahpel to my bowl. I walk over to it and chew it. Mmm... it's kind of hard. But it's juicy too. But I want to eat something else. I climb the table again and search for fish.

I think Hayley doesn't like it when I climb the table. "Molly, ugh, get down the table,"

Hayley carries me down. She just turns on TV and I stay at the couch to watch a movie.

Day 75

Life gets kind of boring in the house, but I play a little bit with the pet butterfly Hayley has. One time, however, Hayley makes an announcement.

"Molly, me and mom and dad will just go for a camping trip, Bryan is coming with us. You'll be staying here with the maid. Don't leave the house okay? Love you, bye Molly!" I was shocked. You'll be staying here.

And so they left, and I just stared out their car from the window. As soon as they left, though, the maid made a run for it.

And now, I'm left alone in this lonely house with nothing but the creepy dangers around...
