Chapter 1: Minotaur Encounter

As we set off to defeat the Black Dragon I decided to tell my companions about the danger that lies ahead. I said to them “I may not know the outcome of our journey or danger that might be waiting for us, I want you guys to know that I am glad that you guys came with me.” Stella replied “As a sorceress I vowed in front of my sisters in Prairie Town that I would use my abilities to protect others and maintain order in our world, we may be different in race but you and I are the same in heart”. I gladly smiled to them and said “Let us go forth and defeat the Black Dragon, may the spirits guide us on our journey”. As they went ahead Enoch was chanting for a spell that would keep them safe, he chanted the words “Chi con pan kia!”. Enoch prays to the goddess of Lagendia.

I heard a whisper from the wind saying “four warriors light, beware of evil’s sight”. I didn’t understand what the spirits were trying to tell me but I  knew that we are going to face the wrath of the Orcs once again. They come across an arena in which Enoch knew that minotaurs are resting. The only way to defeat the Black Dragon is passing through the arena.

They raised their guards and hoped for the worst to come. As we went inside the arena we heard a growl saying “You guys are courageous to come here in my arena”. Ummanba appeared from the throne of the arena and pointed at them and said “Face the wrath of the minotaurs” after saying that, the gates of the arena opened up and Minotaurs appeared along with some other Orcs. Chandler didn’t hesitate he grabbed his sword and started slicing the minotaurs like they were butter. Stella opened her book and started summoning comets and fireballs across the arena.

Enoch was just doing some chants and praying to the goddess when suddenly a huge relic come upon them. Enoch used the Miracle Relic, it is his special skill, it’s a buff for his allies, those who are around the relic will receive a buff for damage and defense. I started shooting arrows all over the arena killing Orcs with one arrow and casting my skill Rage of the Owl giving my allies to have critical damage upon their opponents.

After a few minutes we slaughtered every minotaur and the arena. Ummanba stood up from his throne and said “Do you think this is all I got? Umnodu and Umrak! Destroy them!”. Umnodu and Umrak were his subordinates kinda like those right hand assistant of a king. Umnodu and Umrak are very large minotaurs standing a height of 7 meters about two-stories high. Umnodu started charging at Chandler, without Chandler noticing, he got tackled by Umnodu and got seriously hurt. Enoch rushed to Chandler and casted a healing spell. Stella fought Umrak and got its attention across the arena. I started casting my skills and chanted “chugpi keo seo” it’s my skill Siege stance, the position of speading my legs apart while holding my longbow so that I could have a better grounding in shooting my arrows. I shot Umrak and Umnodu in the eye and blinded them. Umnodu and Umrak got angry and started throwing axes everywhere and the arena. Chandler took the opportunity of having the minotaurs being blind. He jumped in mid-air and swinged his sword in the air casting his skill Moon Blade Dance.

Umnodu took serious damage from Chandler and fell down to the ground. Ummanba clenched his fist like a rock. Umrak fell down shortly after Ithilien blinded him. Stella cast her Special Skill the Blizzard Storm summoning stones of ice or hail about three diameters in size. Ummanba jumped into the arena and said to them “You defeated my comrades like they were goblins, how dare you set foot in my arena and do this to me. All of you will pay for this”. Ummanba jumped into the arena, roared vigorously and started throwing flaming axes towards my allies. Enoch started to run towards the sides of the arena and casted a Healing Relic in the middle of the arena. Stella used her Beyond Time skill so that we could cast our skills faster. Chandler dashed towards Ummanba but Ummanba was too strong for him, Ummanba swinged his axed and tossed Chandler across the arena. I then casted my Arrow Shower skill in which I shoot thousands of arrows to the air and hitting my target. Ummanba dealt some damage but didn’t go down.

Ummanba looked up and started to increase his strength. Ummanba charged his axe with spells and swinged across his range, we got hit by swing of his axe and stumbled to the floor. We were seriously hurt and seemed like no one was able to get back up on their knees until I felt the wind across my face.

The wind spirits aided me to kill Ummanba. I got up on my knees and got an arrow out of my quiver loading it to my longbow and I prayed to the goddess “May this arrow pierce through the evil that exist in this world”. Ummanba started to charge towards me, I shot the arrow swiftly at Ummanba and hit him in the chest. The arrow went through his armor and pierced through his heart. Ummanba fell down like a rock, the ground shook and we were alive.

After the long battle against the minotaurs we had our energy restored and I said to them “I’m glad you guys are safe, I’m sorry that I got you into this”. Enoch replied “It’s not your fault, we volunteered in this expedition to vanquish evil across the land and defeat the Black Dragon”. Chandler also replied “I’m a warrior, where evil exist I’m there to extinguish and besides who’s going to help you when you’re down on your knees?”.

Stella replied to Chandler “You’re just good at flirting, why don’t you hunt for food so that you could be useful”. I chuckled at them and they smiled right back at me. I said to them “Victory to our first battle against the Black Dragon!”. They shouted “Aye!”. We rested. After resting we head towards the next village, Calderock Town.
