limbo.

hi.

I wake up to see Lexi leaning on me. "Hey" she says. "Say, hi" I shrug at the weird request. "Come on, just do it". I try saying hi. It comes out. I feel like I had just won the lottery. But somehow I keep it inside of me long enough so that she can tell me why she wanted me to do it. I ask her. "I want to see if you could talk after that bitch left you". What?! She was not the woman who dumped me that night  I think to myself. Then who is she? Then I find out.

I look at her as she keeps yammering on about this girl who left me. I am still sitting there trying to comprehend who this woman is. I think back to when I first awoke. I remember a woman saying to me that everything was going to be okay. But there was something else I remembered. Her trying to say hi to me. I smile. I look down at her. She's helped me more then any woman. She cheered me up more then anyone else has. She's still yammering. She looks up at me. "As long as your with me" "Everything will be okay". I don't care what happens next. I've found out everything I've wanted to know. I rest on her shoulder and drift to sleep.
