"we never learn, we've been here before," she tells him.
"why are we always stuck and running from the bullets?" he laughs as he holds up his gun and aims for Melanie's father, who returns the gesture.
"the bullets!" she exclaims in realization.
it all became clear.
she begins to cry her eyes watering.
why didn't she see it before?
"why are you crying?" he asks as he sets his gun down.
"stop your crying baby it'll be alright," he reassures her.
but she knows it won't.
"they told me that the end is near, we gotta get away from here," she tells him hoping he listens...hoping he goes.
if he ends it'll take her world.
"i'm not leaving it's a duel he wants so a duel he gets! i didn't kill melanie! i didn't kill her, so he won't kill me," he assures.
"harry it's a sign of the times! please listen to me, please," i plead him my cries overwhelming me.
"stop your crying baby," he kisses my forehead as tears slip down my face.
"it's a sign of the times," i whisper...
hoping i can save him.
but i know i can't, for in the future he is already
dead.
