Gerard's P.O.V
Lucy and I made our way through the techi corridor and up a staircase to the science department. Her black hair fell down down to the middle of her chest and her dark eyes were soft and round.
"Is Mrs Grant nice?" Lucy questions me. I squint my eyes and think for a second.
"She's ok most of the time, but she can get quite angry if she needs to be." I laugh, she looks down to the ground and smiles.
"Gerard." A voice comes from behind me. I swivel on my heel to see Mr Westgarth, head of department. "Take off that beanie of yours, it's not school uniform." He demands. Rolling my eyes, I yank it off of my head and stuff it into my bag.
I stop outside the white door leading into Mrs Grants classroom. "This is it." I state, pointing at the badge on the door that reads 'Science Lab 4'. I lean against the bannister that overlooks the techi department below.
"What have you guys been learning about? I wanna know if I need to catch up on anything." Lucy asks.
"We've been looking at biodiversity for the past few weeks. So food webs, habitats, all that jazz" I explain
"Ah good, we were looking at that stuff in my old school." She sighed. I notice she began to become a bit more comfortable now.
"Come in, class." A voice cooed. Mrs Grant stood at the door, her white lab coat on and spectacles balancing on the end of her nose.
"Morning, miss." I say with a yawn
"Cover your mouth when you do that, Gerard." She sighed while simultaneously rolling her eyes. I give out a short laugh, and walk to the bench I sit at. I pat the stool beside me and Lucy plants herself down and puts her bag under the bench. She brings her pencil case out from the front pocket, it's completely black.
Josh and Melissa walk in, still talking to eachother and laughing.
"Hey, Josh"
"Oh, hey, Gerard." He replies. He and leans back to look at Lucy. "So, what's the name of the new girl?" Josh queries.
"Josh, meet Lucy." I introduce. Lucy looks up and gives a quick smile to Josh.
"Good to meet you." Josh smiles
"You too." Lucy replies quite shortly.

Lucy's P.O.V
First period is over already? Damn, that went quickly. I pull my timetable out of the back pocket of my jeans. Tuesday...second period... Ah here we go. Music with Miss Flanagan. Gerard peers over my shoulder.
"What you in now?"
"Music, but I have no idea how to get there." I sigh
"I'm gonna be going to geography now, but I can take a detour. Mrs McGinlay will understand ." He smirked
"Thanks." I smile back.
We begin to make our way down the science department and down another set of stairs. We come out by rows of lockers, then into a giant open area with a balcony looking down into the canteen below. Rows of tables with circular red stools to sit on lined the edge of the balcony and the wall beside the large assembly hall.
"You're able to take a shortcut through the hall, no one is normally in there." Gerard pointed to the double doors leading into the hall. Miss Flanagans classroom is music room two."
