"Guan Li Yin! We need to leave." A girl, no more than the age of ten, stood still and stared emotionlessly at the fire that was currently consuming her home. Her mother frantically picked the child up as she led two other girls of the same age far away from the house and into the woods. Right now, amidst the burning ruins of their home lay a man, unconscious and heavily wounded. A pool of blood surrounded him as more blood stained his white shirt. The young girls had just witnessed the body of their father. And it was all her fault.
"Guan Li Yin!"

I sat up as if a bucket of ice cold water had been poured onto me. It had happened again.
"I see that you're up." Startled, I turned to the source of the voice.
"Who are you and how did you get in here?" I asked coldly. The "figure" chuckled. The girl standing before me not only looked my age but also looked somewhat eerily like me. The only difference was  that her eyes were a dark grey whereas mine were pitch black and our hair matched our eye colours. She also seemed to glow in a way.
"I see that they gave you my family name as your name." She said amused. I crossed my arms.
"Who are you and how do you know my name?" She gave me a sad smile.
"I'm you. You're me. In other words, you're my reincarnation I guess you could say." I scoffed.
"Yeah right. Am I being pranked? Li Yi and Li An, this is not funny." The atmosphere suddenly shifted and I could swear her eyes flashed to a black before it returned to its natural grey.
"Do you think I'm joking?" She asked seriously. I wasn't afraid of her but I chose not to answer her.
"I'm Li Yi Ying." I raised my eyebrow.
"As in that person who almost destroyed the world and in the end died to save it and restore balance?" I asked incredulously. The legend, or myth, of Li Yi Ying was well known even after the many centuries that had passed after her supposed death. Personally, I didn't really believe that it happened. And now I'm expected to believe it did and that she was standing in front of me from the dead? Ridiculous. She rolled her eyes at me seeing my disbelief and possibly sensing my thoughts.
"I can totally see that you believe me." She said sarcastically. I was still unamused and highly suspicious of her and she saw that.
"Yes I'm the very same Li Yi Ying. We're cursed blah blah blah and now I have to help you and make sure you don't destroy the world like I nearly did yada yada." She said, exasperated.
"Excuse me, what?" I was cursed? I had to save the world? And almost as if she read my mind, she continued on.
"Because you're the youngest triplet born to a family destined for greatness, you're cursed. There's no other way of putting it nicely. You hold the power to either save the world or cause destruction to the world and in turn, kill everyone you love. You need to find your Yang in order to save the world otherwise, the darkness in you will consume you unless those bastards get to you first." She said bluntly although it seemed that she harboured a lot of bitterness towards these "bastards".
Nothing made sense and if I was honest with myself, did I even want to believe her?
"That small, black crescent moon mark on your left wrist? The one that looks like a tattoo?" She asked, staring at my wrist which was currently covered.
"How..?" I trailed off, my eyes going to where the mark was. My wrist was usually covered from a young age. It was something my parents made me do and I instinctively adopted it after they disappeared. I stopped covering it so often once I got to 17, when other people seemed to see tattoos as the norm. It was small enough to not be obvious. She showed her own wrist to me where the same mark appeared.
"Do you believe me now?" Truthfully? No, not really. I didn't answer her. She laughed.
"I don't blame you. It took me quite awhile to believe it myself when I was in your position." Out of nowhere a bell chimed. She sighed at the sound.
"I only have a minute or so left before I disappear. Whether you believe me or not doesn't change the fact that you need to restore balance. Find your Yang and the other 4 Chosens. I believe you know 2 of them already. I'll tell you more soon. I'm out of time. Good luck, Li Yin and be wary of those who want to use you to destroy the world." Her figure started fading in and out as she rushed through her speech.
"Wait, let me get this straight. You're basically putting the entire world's fate into a nineteen years old's hands?" I asked incredulously.
"Yes, when you put it like that." And with that she faded completely.
"Great. Just great."
"Guan Li Yin!" The door flung open and there stood my two sisters, eyes wide with heavy breathing as if they just ran to my room.
"Li Yi? Li An? What's wrong?" They placed out their wrists, a black fire mark on Li Yi's wrist and a black leaf mark on Li An's wrist. Whereas my moon mark had been there for as long as I could remember, Li Yi and Li An had never had a mark on their wrists, though they knew about mine. Shocked, I pushed up the sleeve that covered my wrist and placed it next to theirs. And all of a sudden, all three marks glowed. Black with a white outline. Li Yi Ying's last few sentences repeated in my mind.
"I believe you know 2 of them already." Was this what she meant?
