The desert soars by, bland shades of tan and yellow only disrupted by the brown of dead trees. It's vacant and expansive as Jordan and Joe tear through it. Music flows through the speakers loudly most likely to attract attention else where, but out here no one hears it; there's no one to hear it. Jordan's voice is rough laced with sweetness as he mumbles words softly while Joe listens with a wide grin on his face.

Despite the happy exterior of their state, the music and smiles, Jordan and Joe are both internally panicked afraid for what has happened to the other Killjoys. Their friends. Nothing shows though because to them it's best to appear fine in case Draculoid's appear. If they appear fine then the cracks of fear and panic don't show; they'll continue to seem put together, invincible.

"Do you think they'll make it in time?", Joe's voice drips curiosity as he looks around inspecting the terrain as it passes by. His eyes move to Jordan watching as his weather hardened features soften, a certain series of thoughts over coming him. It's only for a split second, but it's a second nonetheless that softness grips Jordan before his face tightens again his hard shell making its reappearance.

"I hope so Joe, we should worry about making it there ourselves first though.", his chuckle is void of emotion.

"True..."

"Besides James and Aleks are crafty they'll figure it out, they always do."

"What if something happens and they don't?", Joe knows it was probably a question that shouldn't be asked. Jordan worries his bottom lip seemingly unsure how to respond to Joe's spoken doubt.

"Then we'll go. The only thing we can do is keep going."

. . .

The road sign is barely readable coated in a layer of dirt and grime that nearly masks the letters. Still the shape gives away what road it is without even needing to read the sign.

Route Guano.

The most used road in the zones, leading directly into Battery City as well as straight to other significant landmarks used to determine placement. Such as the Dead Pegasus factory which although no longer in use determined when to turn off into the desert to make it to Dr. D's radio shack, also a meet up point in case of dire emergency. Though it's not their current destination it was a sign of hope for the two Killjoys today as they blow past the route marker and toward a bigger objective.

This isn't the checkpoint they'd hoped to reach; the one they're hoping to reach is out further just before Dr. D's little radio shack. It is a refueling station which proves to be handy as the small patrol motorcycles they'd managed to steal are running low on gas. The checkpoint is manned by Draculoid's as per normal, all of which are unaware of the terror that's about to strike their mindless bodies. Both Aleks and James know what has to happen here; it has to be a flawlessly executed maneuver and flawless isn't either of their fortes. Fully aware of this they come to a halt, bikes skidding a few hundred yards short of the checkpoint sending rocks flying across the road along with a cloud of dust.

"Well fuck.", James mutters flipping the visor of his helmet up.

"Of course they're expecting us.", Aleks sighs.

"What are we going to do? We need a plan and we can't fuck this one up...", James voice trails off at the end eyes moving to Stef who was clinging onto him tightly, handfuls of his jacket in her fists. Fear is evident, and Aleks wants to back out, test their luck, do anything but risk this.

"I'll go in, clear the area. You call in Jordan, tell him to hurry his ass up here....", there's a pause, "just in case."

"Aleks, we don't have to do it this way, there's other ways to go about it.", James begs. He knows the risks, and he's terrified of what could come of this. So is Aleks though even though he puts on a facade acting brave; whether it's for Stef or James he's not sure.

"Let me do it. You need to protect Stef."

Aleks slides his visor down, and James almost wants to yell at him for it. Not because of the message it portrayed in big white letters-good luck-but because he knew this meant it was final. Aleks is bullheaded as well meaning it really is final. His minds made up.

"Stay safe Aleks.", James voice shakes slightly. Stef looks at him with wide eyes as he nods before taking off again leaving James and Stef to watch.

James phones in to Jordan via walkie talkie-the only form of communication BLi can't touch-while Stef watches the scene unfolding out in front of her. Aleks' motorcycle flying into the area with lasers flying in every direction. A light show is happening before her with all the brightly colored lights, but it's not one of wonder in fact it's the most terrifying light show she's ever seen. In fear she covers her face with her hand and then for extra protection buries her face in James side.

"Stef come on.", James voice is gentle as he moves away slowly trying to guide Stef back. As she moves back her eyes move to the checkpoint where Aleks is waving his arms widely trying to motion them forward.

A sigh of relief escapes Stef's lips as she clutches onto James getting ready to go again.

. . .

Alarms siren accompanied by flashing lights almost like a fire alarm but blue tinted instead of red. The alarm is a sound reminiscent of nails on a chalk board, but to Draculoid's it's a call to battle. Frantic is the best word to describe the BLi headquarters as guns are retrieved and white suits are straighten up to look semi decent. No one knows what to do, and that's how it is.

A swipe of a keycard is all it takes for order to come as Aron's head lifts eyes flying open. The glass door opens allowing him to take control of the situation his voice raising to be heard over the chaos. Commands are spit left and right as Draculoid's fall into order with the new leadership that's come into play.

Aron takes the lead as a gun is placed into his hands as he marches toward the door his small army behind him. He's stopped momentarily by the head of security, Daniel, who gives him orders that are simple in nature but have been proven to be more difficult than expected. Despite the difficulty the orders remain the same each time he's deployed.

"Capture the Killjoys, and bring us the girl."
