Celestia's 'NightmareMoon' (MLP fanfic w/ocs)

Solar Flare

"What," Twilight exclaimed as Kenya finished part of the story.

"Celestia was a NightMare Moon," Rainbow Dash asked confused.

"Not NightMare Moon, but Solar Flare," Kenya corrected.

"How come I didn't know about this," Twilight asked.

"Celestia and Luna were new to being rulers then, each still having greedy and un-purified thoughts," Kenya said in a wise voice.

"That doesn't explain why she never told me she once turned into Solar Flare," Twilight asked angered.

"Do you know how embarrassing it must be for her to know that long ago she reined fire down upon her vulnerable subjects that loved her and cherished her. And that the story is still told but not in Equestria, but in other Kingdoms beyond. To know that all the other Kingdoms don't trust you, how Equestria seems to be ran by monsters to them," Kenya countered loudly.

"By monsters," Fluttershy eepped from behind RD.

"Oh...So ...Your...saying that Celestia still remembers this tragic time," Twilight said softly.

"Yes, and Luna does lots to try to forget but she always remembers the burning ponies crying for help that she could not give," Kenya said in her normal tone.

Twilight sat there trying not to imagine the whole kingdom of Equestria on fire.

"I might add that Luna stated when she first became NightMare Moon, said that Celestia's sun only BURNS, while the moon gives a cool rest. Luna or NightMare Moon referred to when Celestia had been Solar Flare, and had burned thousands upon thousands of ponies," Kenya said in a knowledgeable tone.

"How was Solar Flare defeated, was she banished to the sun for a thousand years like Luna on her moon," Twilight asked wanting to know more.

"Listen...Listen to the story I tell," Kenya said as she threw more powder into the fire to create more smoke.

"Luna was found by some remaining royal guards after Solar Flare had disappeared," Kenya began as she smoke showed a pony figure lying on the ground with guards trying to help it.

"The guards asked what had done this to Luna, but all Luna said was Celestia."

(Scene)

"Princess are you alright," The head of the royal guards asked worriedly as he approached the wounded Luna.

Luna didn't reply but she opened her eyes a little.

"What did this to you," Another guard asked Luna, while quickly putting a bandage over her burnt wing.

"Cel...Celes...Tia," Luna said as she began to cry softly.

"It can't be Celestia, Solar Flare must have done this," A guard said as he checked Celestia's room.

"Celestia's not here maybe she really is Solar Flare," The guard said as all the guards tried to piece it together.

"Ce...Les...Tia" Luna cried again as the guards took her to the medical center where they had barricaded themselves inside to keep the Fiery mare at bay. They quickly brought Luna Inside and placed her on one of the many hospital beds.

Luna closed her eyes and passed out again.

 ~Time Skip~

She a woke an hour later to the terrified and agony filled screams to the peaceful residents of Canterlot.

"I...Need...to...help them," Luna manage to say as she tried to get out of the bed.

"No princess you need your rest," a medical pony said.

Luna looked around the room, she and the medical pony were the only ones in the room.

"Where...are..the guards," Luna asked worried.

The medical pony just looked down at his hooves.

"Where are they," Luna repeated in an almost royal Canterlot voice.

"They...They went out to help the other ponies but they haven't returned yet, not even a knock," The medic said as a knock did immediate from the door at that moment.

Both ponies turned to the unguarded door.

"Lu...Na," A voice cackled from outside the door.

Luna was tempted to get up and let what she knew was Celestia in. But she new this monster was not Celestia but the darkness within her.

"Luna come out," The voice cackled angrily from outside the door.

Both ponies inside did nothing, they turned and looked at each other then back at the door.

"Fine, don't come out, I guess I'll just have to go in," It cackled/laughed hysterically from outside the door.

Soon the room began to heat up the walls began to melt revealing the inflamed alicorn who had a wicked grin on her face.

"There you are Luna, just as I suspected," She cackled evilly as she threw a fire ball that missed Luna but hit the medic pony straight on, killing him on impact.

The mare lifted her gaze from the burning corpse up to Luna.

"I have many plans that shall go unharmed once I'am done with you," It said as it looked directly at Luna as if it was staring into her soul.

Luna could feel the burning eyes on her and she didn't know what to do........
