Erased - Satoru x Kayo timeline

Awake

"Ugh..."

He open his eyes a crack before quickly closing them again to keep myself from being blinded by the artificial lighting. He raise a shaky hand up onto his face and block the light as his eyes too time to slowly adjust. He could just make out lots of silvery shapes with lots of sharp angles... And a blurry shape near the bed he was laying on.

"Wh... Where am I?"

His voice was cracked and airy, but was still clear enough to make out words. This was followed by some coughing. This did however seem to wake the figure sleeping next to him.

"Guu... Wha...? Eh? EH?!? Satoru your awake? Your awake... Finally..."

There were tears welling up in her eyes as she caught sight of him waking up. It's hard to tell other than the fact that she grabbed his hand and pulled it to her face. He tried to figure out who she was. She was familiar to him..? Red coat... Yellow scarf... Pink mittens...

"K-Kayo, is that you?"

She laughs in a way that dispels the gloomy atmosphere that had been looming around and she pulls me to her and hugs him as tight as she possibly could.

"Are you an idiot? Getting stuck in a car that's getting dragged down into the bottom of the river. You really are an idiot."

He is surprised by the burst of words but fiercely hugs her back. Breathing in her scent, the light smell of sap from the park that she so often spent her time in when I had first met her lingered. He started to cry as well as laugh.

"I'm home, Kayo."
