Boboiboy Heroes: The End is Near (BOOK 4)

Danger Everywhere

Gopal was reading newspaper at his table while drinking a mug of coffee. It was relaxing to have such luxuries when bad things are going on. He took another sip and suddenly the building shook. He accidentally spat out the coffee in his mouth onto his newspaper. His glass mug slipped out from his hands and he tried catching it but only made it bounce out of his grip. After a few tries, the mug fell to the ground and shattered into pieces with coffee splattered around it. Awww swell he thought to himself. 

The ground shook again and he remembered what was going on. Dust fell from somewhere above him. He shivered as he looked up above him. A large piece of the ceiling was cracking, about to fall on him. 

"Wargh!!" he screamed.

He waited a few seconds only to realise nothing fell on him. He looked up startled and saw pink coloured energy around the chunk of ceiling.

"Gopal, here!"

Gopal's eyes flickered to Yaya who was having her arms lifted up and hands glowing pink. The floor was dirty, with dust and crumbs of ceiling parts everywhere. However, he staggered to Yaya who was not far from him. 

"Where's the others?" Gopal asked.

Yaya grabbed his wrist and they ran to the emergency spiral staircase.

"They'll be fine." 

In between the staircase was a shiny metal bar. Yaya held onto it and slipped down as Gopal followed. Light zoomed across their eyes whenever they pass a window. Then a bright light below consumed their entire body. Yaya and Gopal had to close their eyes in the result to not be blinded by the light. Suddenly they were outside on solid soil ground behind headquarters. Yaya was standing but Gopal had landed on his bum. 

"Ouch," Gopal winced.

"We have to find the others!" Yaya said.

"I thought you said they were fine," Gopal asked confused.

"We are fine," said a male voice.

Yaya turned and saw Astor with Ochobot, Alxebot, Tok Aba, Ying and Fang.

"Expected," Yaya muttered.

"The earthquake is stopping in some places but there is something odd happening to these places. Have anyone seen Boboiboy?" Ochobot asked.

Gopal frowned. "He said he would come by at noon."

"And what time is it now?" Ying asked as if the answer's obvious.

Gopal lifted his arm with his watch and read the time. 

"Three in the afternoon," he said sheepishly.

"He was lying to us all along, and we all were distracted by what he was doing that we've forgotten to prepare ourselves," Astor explained.

An old man, who looks lost, was holding a map and came to them. 

"Excuse me young lads, what country is this?" he asked in his cranky voice.

"Malaysia," Alxebot said.

The old man looked back at the map and laughed oddly. "I thought I was in Scotland! I was really lost back there."

Fang's eyes widened. "Scotland?!"

His eyes flickered to the bunch of buildings as he saw another wave of tall buildings coming in to merge with the former ones.

"Oh gosh," he gulped, terrified at what he was seeing was unbelievably, true.

"We have to get out from here!" Yaya yelled.

Fang summoned his shadow eagle and hoped on its back. The eagle flapped its wings, making a sudden wave of shadows, and flew up into the clouds. Yaya boosted off the ground to Fang's side. Astor made his metal jet, with three seats inside this time. The glass cover of it lifted and he, Gopal, Ying, Ochobot and Alxebot hoped on in. Astor was at the driver's seat while Gopal was sitting with Ochobot and Alxebot at Ying's left at the passenger seat. Astor quickly pressed on a buttons around him and held on the controller as they caught up with Yaya and Fang.

"Where to now?" Yaya asked through a speaker.

"Searching for safe locations," Astor said, one hand on the controller while the other still tapping on multiple buttons.

Ying looked out from the glass and saw the floating island somewhere within the clouds. Perhaps there would be the safest location they could go to.

"Maybe we could go to the floating island?" she asked.

Astor stopped clicking on the buttons and hesitated. "Oh yeah, why didn't I think of that? Alright, to the floating island."

He put his other hand on the controller and sped to the floating island, along with Fang and Yaya by his side.
