When I woke up, I was seriously confused. I had forgotten I went to visit Katrina's sister's strange family peoples and woke up in a daze. I ran downstairs, and screamed when I ran face first into a buff form. I was falling, but he caught me by my forearms and steadied me. I looked up and nearly died. He. Was. Gorgeous. He had honey colored eyes that darkened when he looked at me, and blackish brown hair that fell to the side. It was that type of hair that guys liked to flip and make girls go crazy. He had a bored expression on his face, but his facial expression changed when he looked at me. I don't really know what it was. Lust? Love? Hate? I don't even know anymore, all I know is that he's beautiful.

"Hi." I said, finally snapping out of my embarrassing stupor.

"Hello, mortal." He said back, his voice was melodic.

"Wait, wh-"

"Gwen!" Katrina came running down the stairs, glaring at Alec. "Hey, so. Breakfast?" She smiled at me.

"Uhhh sure?" I said, feeling even now confused than before.

"Ooo can I come?!" A perky Seth said, putting his chin on top of my head. That's how short I was, bless.

"Sure, Seth." I laughed, I have no idea why Seth was so open with me, I just met the guy yesterday. Alec growled at the two of us, and Seth moved away. I glanced at Seth and he narrowed his eyes at Alec. Umm what's going on?

"So, breakfast at the dinner?" Emily said, her chirpy voice cutting the tension like a knife.

"Yeah!" Jacob said, putting his arm around his cousin's shoulders. By then, Alec had disappeared.

"Sounds like fun!" Isaac's loud voice boomed around the room.

"Jeez, how many others are coming!?" I questioned.

"That's all, everyone else is still passed out." Andrew said, walking down the stairs.

"You aren't going?" Katrina seemed upset by this.

"No, I think I'll just stay here and get some more sleep." He smiled at her, and her face was redder than Emily's hair. I elbowed her and whispered

"You're showing too much interest, Kat." She simply punched my arm and told me to shut up. Oh well, if that isn't best friend goals then I don't know what is.

"Well...lets go!" I announced, feeling weird.

"Uh, G?" Isaac muttered

"Yeah?"

"You're still in your PJs..." Seth finished for Isaac.

"Oh." I looked down at my hot pink zebra shorts and black tank top. My fuzzy monster slippers were neon green.

"Awkward..." Jake muttered and Emily coughed to hide her laugh.

"So rude." I sighed and then ran upstairs to get changed.

"Off we go!" I yelled when I finally came back.

We had finally gotten to the diner, five elbows to the face and awkward seating arrangements later, we were seated at a large table. Well, it was actually two tables pushed together since our crowd was so large. I was currently blowing the paper off my straw and managed to hit Seth in the eye. I couldn't stop laughing long enough to apologize, and soon enough our food was there. I sat with Seth the whole car ride home, and even fell asleep on his shoulder.
